Easy to set up and start watching chromecast videos from your phone or tablet on your TV

So you have a TV with Streaming apps or you have a Roku/Apple/Amazon box that's attached to your TV. What's happening is that many, many more new streaming channels are being added to your mobile device versus the dedicated streaming device. That's where Google Chromecast comes in. Chromecast is not dependent on the apps on your TV or in your dedicated box. Chromecast doesn't care. As long as you have an app on your mobile device, it can be streamed on your TV. Chromecast is also significantly less expensive than the dedicated boxes. Most high end streaming boxes cost more than double that for a Chromecast. If you decide to buy Chromecast over the other solutions, you've made the right decision.

Love the small and compact size. Excellent for when you need to travel. This works seamlessly with the google home and if you have an android. Most content is streamable from devices such as mobile phone, browsers with chrome, and etc.

It's cheap and a great way to cut the cord to cable.

When I bought it I had my doubts about Chromecast but when I start using it what a great tool to make your normal TV to a smart TV and enjoy all your apps , easy to set up with your phone or your tablet.

The new Chromecast fixes many small issues the first version had including the most important, the buffering. Also the new connection which prevents the device from sticking straight out and allows it to hang from the flexible cord is great (since I broke and old one bumping it into a wall). Another great product from Google!

Great way to add voice or phone controls to existing entertainment systems. We have 3 Chromes and 2 Rokus in the house. ...The Roku is better for sitting and feature surfing with a traditional remote. But, these are affordable enough to have both. Our 5 year old turns on/off her Netflix cartoons using Google Assistant and Chrome. ...And we can monitor or put timers on her usage.

I bought the chrome cast a few months ago and haven't had any major issues. I downloaded the app on my Mac book pro, my Galaxy S3 as the remote, and is connected to my non-cable box Sony Tv, so it is pretty compatible with all devices. I have downloaded a few apps to stream, including Xfinity tv Go, Netflix, HBO go and MTV. I will say some apps will let you cast to the tv on the Mac book but won't let you stream from the cell phone to the tv, xfinity in particular. I haven't download and tried it yet on my iPhone 6. I have been satisfied with stream quality. Once in a while my Mac book will not display my chrome cast device on the tab where it normally shows up, usually once I restart the browser or the chrome cast, the issue is resolved. I did have to reconfigure the device when I got a new wireless router too. All in all it is a good device and I got it for less than 40 bucks, much cheaper than Apple TV.
