When you compare cost and ability to stream apps from any smartphone you can not beat chromecast! does an excellent job. Easy to install and easy to set up. I have 2 apple TV boxes. love them, but this jewel does everything i want for less than half the price... And you can stream from your lap top any page! Only down fall would be on your smartphone... you can only stream from apps that are chromecast specified. hope this review helped.

Does exactly what I bought it to do. Its great. Easy to install. Compatible with the TV it is used on. Allows lots of alternative programs.

Setup was simple and the picture is excellent. I recommend this produce to anyone wanting an alternative to cable/satellite.

A very easy upgrade to my TV experience. I have several online sports subscriptions. This allows me to stream to my flat screen TV with ease. I even bought another 43" 4K smart TV so I could stream games and events to my deck! Awesome, particularly considering the low cost. I then bought my friend a Chrome cast so he could enjoy it too!

The Chromecast was surprisingly easy to setup. Just download the app on my phone and it walked me through all of the steps. The video quality and even the screen casting was as good as I expected. The device does get quite warm, but it hasn't affected performance thus far. Great device to put your small screens onto the big screen!

I honestly don't know how i lived without a Chromecast before. I had a smart tv that wasn't connected to the internet because of an old adapter that I need to buy to make it internet connected to use a few apps. I didn't feel it was worth it. I used a price match and part of my reward points to make it cheap. I mainly use it to cast Spotify, YouTube and soon to be Netflix. I have Amazon Prime so I'll be adding that to the mix soon. It works better than the built in casting my LG 4K LED, it flat out sucks. I love my Chromecast!

I bought this solely to cast my office laptop onto a TV I bought as a large display for clients, and after quite a bit of this and that it works as intended. The website that Google has set up to set up the Chromecast is surprisingly clunky for a Google site. I finally had to go out onto the internet and Google "how do I get a chromcast to cast a laptop screen to the TV" and follow the instructions from other users. Luckily, there are lots of people willing to share their information, so it worked OK. You would never figure it out from the instructions or the website. Hardware is pretty cool, software is clunky to set up, but works fine once configured.

I like that there are apps I can use with it. I do have an issue with the fact that I cannot use it for the specific reason I bought it but that is my fault for not doing the research. I bought it to watch anime on my TV that I normally watch online. In order to do this, I have to play the anime on my computer at the same time (I think it is called mirroring). It is fine but I would have preferred that not to be the case. Yet again, this was my fault for not doing the research :) Other than that, I enjoy it. It was reasonably priced. My wife love's the Just Dance app. I wouldn't say it is an absolute necessity though. Just another form of entertainment.

Works well and fast. Gives great picture quality. Great connection through my WiFi. Good way to save money rather then buying a smart TV

I use this device with my iPad and smartphone and it is easy super easy to use. Better quality then streaming through Xbox.

Google couldn't have made it any easier. Truly a "Plug & Play device that anyone can handle. Installation takes 5 minutes and you're up and running. Thinking of cancelling my Directv subscription and signing up for Hulu Plus or some less expensive streaming service to use with my new Chromecast. I love the ability to stream from my Android or laptop.

I have been a fan of the Google Chrome cast since the beginning. They have made some excellent performance improvements on the newest model. One thing I do not understand is What exactly is the purpose for having the built in magnet on the device. I understand that it could in theory fold up behind the TV, but since it has to be plugged in to a power source as well as an HDMI source it makes it impossible for the magnet to work as intended. It doesn't make me like it any less, I just really don't understand its functionality.

Google Chromecast is easy to use and works perfectly with both Android and iOS devices. And receiving a $10 gift card it is even better!

My brother recommended me to buy this device, at first I was skeptical something so cheap could work this good. Too good to be true? Nonetheless, I made the purchase to give a test, and can only say that this is a must have in your living room. My family all seem to enjoy it since we can put funny Youtube videos on the TV and movies from Netflix! No additional devices, so power efficient. Before we had to turn the Playstation on and use the quirky system to pick movies, now its much more simple to pick them from a smartphone!

Completely intuitive design from setup to pairing with my devices. Picture is crystal clear and being able to continue to use devices while streaming is a huge plus. Would recommend to all looking for streaming compared to price of other devices but do keep in mind that it does require a second device to stream the content.

Easy to set up. You can watch movies by connecting to your TV, Control with your phone/laptop! Sometimes is hard to connected which is a bit frustrating but it just happen sometimes.

Bought this to stream to my TV. Works great! Was very fast and easy to set up since I already had a the Google Home app. Everything connected with no issues and was up and running in a few minutes. Haven't had any problems at all. Got this on black friday so the price and what you get is good. I'm able to stream you tube and movies from my iPhone and iPad. I have it connected via USB and my 5ghz wireless. Boot-up is fast when i turn on my TV and no problems with wireless connection.

This is a great device and its really nice especially for older tvs made before the last year or two of the smart tv era. Its very useful for tvs in your house that you would rather not pay a cable company for another tv card. I like launching apps and seeing google hangouts on the screen a lot. My only gripe at all would be that you can't launch more than 1 app at once, meaning if you are listening to spotify and you launch say the photos, you can't listen in the background. This is where the old pc hooked up to the tv still wins. But its very convenient to just connect to the tv with say youtube your spotify. Overall a great product though.

This is a great product and works just as it should. Very fast and easy to setup. Works great and would be great for any non-smart tv.

I haven't yet cut the cord but i love how i can stream straight from my phone to my TV. I can watch youtube, movies, etc... no lag!!!
