This version seems smoother than the previous version. It's a great solution if you want to cut the premium tv cord and subscribe to (even a) few streaming services. Works with my Apple and Android devices.

Out of the box, this couldn't have been more simple to set up. Just plug in to power and HDMI, find it on the app and you're rocking. Two recommendations if it starts acting squirrely: 1) plug the USB connector in to a wall outlet via the included adapter (often the USB service port on the tv as a power source is inconsistent and inhibits casting) and 2) make sure your router is up to the task with available bandwidth (leads to casting termination and freezing).

I've ben using google chromecast for more than 2 months now, its easy to set up for streaming YouTube, Netflix,etc

My idea is to cast my MacBook to tv, I don’t want to spend money on Apple TV, I bought chrome cast it not only cast what I want it also mirrors my Apple MacBook. I am happy for this price.

I am very much happy to have it. its very convenient to have ur devices displayed with high quality on ur TV. but the sad thing is its only supported with goolge apps and some other only..

Set up is quick and easy and the ability to watch netflix on my TV by casting it from my phone or tablet is great

I purchased this device assuming it'd bring a lot to the table; however, many features still remained the same. To be fair though, I realized the streaming speed has increased by a lot which addresses the buffering issue with the previous model. Overall a good buy.

Easy to use! The installation is quick and easy going! Great if you have google home. Loading doesn’t take long either and the streaming is clear.

Second one. Very cool device. Never had any issues with it. Very easy to set up and it works with Google Home.

I bought the Chromecast just to watch Netflix & YouTube. It does more but never used the other features. The only thing I don't like is you have to use your phone to control it through & I can't fast forward or rewind. There's probably a way but I don't know how.

easy to setup, easy to use only a little obnoxious if u have 2 phones with home it will bounce between phones

If you're a fan of Google then you'll love this product, especially if you have "cut the cord". It's so easy to use and makes sharing whatever is on your phone screen super easy. I love being able to quickly cast pictures from my phone up my TV for everyone to see as well as videos. It's also great paired with Google home mini where it will automatically cast things based on my command such as, "Play 'Sing' on Netflix".

I have no problem installing it and connecting it with my iPad. Very easy to use. Good for the price!

It basically does what it says. Casts from you phone, computer or tablet. It cost about the same as a firestick but is limited. You can also cast to a firestick from phone and computer as well.

Right now I have about 4 first gen chromecasts around the house. There was no need to buy another one but I had a few bucks to spare so I decided to pull the trigger on the new one. This thing is fast and responsive. Has nothing networks (2.4 and 5 mhz). The picture quality is great and no issues with buffering (although it depends on your environment of course). The only real con is not having a dedicated remote,but it's not a terrible issue since I always keep my phone on me anyway. The fast play feature could use more support as well. But over all its a great device.

I was able to get the Chromecast synced with my iPad rather easily. But when I wanted to cast from a web site that was not featured by Chromecast I have been having problems. Its pretty cool when it does work.

Google has created a very good product. Very easy to use and install. Works well with iPhone and Android.

I have been pretty happy with this product so far. I've gotten You Tube, ESPN and Google Chrome on either a laptop or tablet to show up on my TV. I'm thinking I would be able to do this from either an iPhone or iPod, too, but haven't tried. I'd give it another star if I can get iTunes on my laptop to show a movie I rented on my TV. Right now, I can only do this by connecting the laptop to the TV via an HDMI cable. But I'm guessing Apple is not allowing Chrome to work with iTunes. I'm guessing Apple would want you to buy an Apple TV instead. Unless someone knows how to make this work?

Easy to use. Setup with WiFi number and cast from your phone or computer. Cast movies with Netflix or YouTube.

So great. Easy to setup and use. Also, super cheap. I decided to get this instead of cable. No regrets. AT. ALL.
