I didn't think I would like not having a dedicated remote for this device, but it is actually pretty nice! Plus Google home let's me control it with my voice so it is very cool to use!

Use it everyday to easily watch my YouTube subsciption videos. Paired with the Google Home, you can just use your voice to go to the next video or turn up the volume. It is al set up in the Google Home app, they make it pretty easy to set up. And Love the backdrops that play when the Chromecast is not playing anything. My Parents, Sister, and Grandparents all use a Chromecast. Just makes it easy to consume media on a bigger screen.

Very Good Google Device which works great, we can connect with Mobile and Laptop as well. Price is also good.

I have one 1st gen google chrome cast. My tv is old so it does not have USB power. For this new one with long USB line and included converter, much flexible to use. Great improvement.

This device is simply awesome. It will stream content from laptop and mobile so easily that it is mindblowing. that too connects pretty fast. It works perfectly fine and I would recommend to everyone.

Great product but Google did not make the process to lync a laptop using Google Chrome to the chromecast device very intuitive. The instructions provided are pretty useless. Had to mess around with the settings a few times before it worked.

I was looking for something that would mirror my phone to my TV like I can do with my Samsung smartv. I have a non smartv in my bedroom so I was looking for something that would allow me to stream to it. I don't have apple products but I have seen the way you can stream from phone with apple tv. I thought the chrome cast would do the same thing. You are only able to stream certain content that has the cast symbol. Kind of disappointed about that but so far the content that I'm able to stream to it has been pretty steady with no lag

Love this to stream Hulu and netflix in lieu of paying $$ for cable. Always connects, never have issues with it not paring correctly. Super cheap and saves me lots of money not having to pay for cable!

Plug and play, easy setup through the Google Home App. Was able to easily cast videos from Youtube to my TV.

We use chromecast on both our TVs very easy to use and setup great for casting shows and music to tv

I was kind of skeptical about buying the chromecast but once I got it hooked up, which was a breeze, I went crazy so much to see and do. It's great to have on holidays and gloomy days plenty to choose.

I got this product for my boyfriend house we do not do a lot of tv watching there we are on the go a lot. But it is great for new movies through our phone and good local channels alsoz

Having much better luck with this model over the first. Router is up one flight and on the other side of the house. No problems connecting or staying connected. Stream MKV and MP4 files only. I don't even bother with AVI at all. Am using a couple of different Android apps installed on my tablet to control the streaming from my laptop and which one I use depends on my mood. Again, no issues at all when using this. Will take the 1st gen model with my when I travel.

I purchased this 2015 model as an upgrade for the increased connectivity. Although there isn't a big difference between this model and the last model, this works just as great and is worth every penny.

I still use my Roku for apps to watch Netflix, Hulu, etc. but Google chromecast is great for casting shows from your laptop to your TV. Works seamlessly and have never had a problem.

I use this all the time to share pictures, videos or posts from Facebook to a bigger screen for everyone to see. much easier than hooking up a cable or passing the tablet around from person to person.

Everything is working as expected aside from a few issues that I am having streaming video , but I think that the cause is the app i am using and not the chromecast itself. I love the ability to use the USB on the back of my TV for power.

This unit works great I love it the new unit is better looking and the magnet helps to conceal it Great product..

I bought several of these for the TVs around the house. It's a good little plug n play device... just make sure you have another power jack available near the TV since this requires a power chord.

This is my second chrome cast. The first one was a literal plug and play. This one seems to fight controls from each device and I can't seem to fix it. It's PROBABLY the google home app fighting between phones and tablets and NOT the chrome cast, but I DID NOT have this problem with the old chrome cast. The old one still works, but my husband wanted it to bring to the fire-station so they could watch Netflix when not on a call. So, I put the new one at home, but now all the devices fight for control. All in all, it is a fantastic option for a non smart tv.
