I would really give it 4.5 because nothing is perfect. But it does some surprisingly handy things that I did not expect. I like my Roku for different reasons and I like having both, but the Chromecast lets me access and watch all sorts of web-based content that can't be done with the Roku stick or my Samsung Smart TV alone. But the most innovative use was to turn my 42" screen TV into a teleprompter for a youtube video project. I was able to open the google word doc script on my Chromebook and broadcast it to the TV screen via the Chromecast. It made my day. Saved me hours of memorization or posterboard teleprompts. This is not a feature for everybody but it does show the Chromecast's versatility.

This product is wonderful I set one up in the bedroom it was a Christmas present for my husband and it was working wonderful I just loved it I have one in my living room and I reuse it all the time

Like the new chromecast that connects to 5Gh freq which doubled bandwidth so virtually no buffering. Only problem is casting slingbox, but I think it's a problem with app not the chromecast itself.

Easy to set up and connect. Works well for videos and movies. Works well with smartphone and Google Home.

Speedier than the Gen 1 Chromecast. Works great. Exceptionally nice with an Android device. I own several.

We truly have cut the cord at our house. Saving 100 dollars a month. The Chromecast is a part of our streaming devices. Easy to install, plug and play. For the power cord, I used the usb port on the tv, sweet. The only limiting factors you might have are the quality of your phone, speed of your internet and phone apps you are using to cast from. I use Google Home at times to mirror my phone screen. Can't be beat.

I have three children and can't afford cable in all the bedrooms. This allowed us to use Netflix in all rooms Wifi reaches and anything you would like to look up on the net from your phone/tablet.

The Chromecast is fantastic stream device from your Android. Setup is super seamless, connection is very stable and the user interface to Stream is also quite intuitive. Great buy.

Definitely prefer this Chromecast version over the first generation. Google got it right with this generation after some major fixes. We have 3 TVs in our home and each one has a Chromecast in it!

Got this to upgrade from older model. Unable to connect 5ghz on wireless AC unless i disable all password on the access point wireless. This is a router using stock firmware. Google is aware of bug.

Love it. My wife loves it. She doesnt have to charge the playstation controller and navigate it in order to watch netflix she can just use her phone. She wants another 1 for the tv in our basement.

This is the first Chromecast I have purchased. I love that it makes my non-smart TV a smart TV. I just recently moved in with my sister and she convinced me that I needed this. So glad I listened!

Love this product! Cast every single thing from my phone to the telly. No television service for my household, so it is wonderful to Cast shows from the Internet straight to my television.... Especially with 2 little ones running around it is easy and no big cords or wires to get caught up in. If you are unsure on Chromecast, do some research to make sure it is the product that will provide you with the service you require. Read the reviews.

I purchase art tutorials and have been looking for a way to watch them on the TV rather than my computer and this works nicely. I plan to purchase another one for an additional tv.

Simple set up. It can easily be hooked up via hdmi input. I love casting Netflix and other apps on my tv!
