I have the older version of chromecast and decided to pick up the updated version so I could connect to my 802.11AC wifi for better speeds and picture quality. Unfortunately this version does not work as well as the old version did. Needs to be rebooted after just a few hours of use or picture quality degrades fast. It will disconnect from my computer and start chopping and no amount of playing with the browser add-in will do anything and I will have to connect to it via the chromecast app and reboot it before it will start working again. Still solid choice for streaming something but not as good as the old version was.

Easy to configure and very comfortable to cast videos from the mobile apps.

the easiest way to turn a tv into smart. Easy to use, compatible with all app

Easy set up, easy to cast with the ability to stream in 4k. It's literally the same as the basic Chromecast except it has the added ability to stream 4k. Easy to setup, and even when I bought a new router and created a new home network, the reconnection was super easy, as were all of the Chromecasts. Plus I trust it's privacy wayy more than simply streaming right off of my or any smart TV.

Very handy. I use it for youtube, NFL sunday ticket etc. In our day in age, it is the best way to never miss shows or games!

Love the portability and ease of use. Just plug it into the TV, select a compatible show or movie on your mobile device and hit play. Very convenient and beats watching all your streaming content on the mobile screen! If you're in the market for a TV, consider getting one of VIZIO's SmartCast products instead, which has the same functionality built in. But until then, this Chromecast does the job nicely.

Clear picture and runs smooth would suggest as a must have for any android usrt

Chromecasting is the way to go. Connect any device on your network to your TV wirelessly! From a chrome browser on your desktop or laptop display content and sound from a single browser page or your entire desktop. You can even cast from some apps on an IPhone. In addition when you are not casting beautiful pictures and the time are displayed. Setup is easy. Enjoy.

Just bought this so I can try it with google mini. So far so good. But just dont know how to turn my tv when I tell googl mini to turn a certain channel.

Make any tv smart with a chrome cast. Easy to setup and at a great price.

Has been working great since day 1! I love that if it is just on it displays some really pretty photos. Apps are being added to the Google Home everyday so there hasn't been an app I came across that I wanted to watch that wasn't on the Google Chromecast list. I watchYoutube, Netflix, BET, VH1, Fox, ABC, Fullscreen, and E! And they all work on my Chromcast! One of my many good purchases!

I really enjoyed the Chromecast 1st generation and this one blows that one out of the water. My connection almost never drops, and load times have improved drastically.

I have no bad things to say.i was looking for a product that would do just what Chromecast said it would do. Unfortunately I don't have enough signal from Verizon to make it work.No harm-no foul.Sorry I couldn't try it.

I love my chrome casts! I have two and I bought my daughter one for her house, she loves it. I think it’s one of the best inventions, can’t do without it.

It has been a great addition to my older t.v., and works flawlessly!

This is a great idea for watching stuff that you can't watch on tv, like through any other way. We have a Roku that we watch lots of channels through....but I like to watch Bollywood movies, and there's certain movie channels that aren't on there. When I use my Chromecast, I can get those channels. It's very easy to set up, you hardly even have to think about it and easy to connect when you need to.

Simply put, the way Google's Chromecast manages streaming is that rather than controlling the device directly with an included remote and "apps" on a device, you instead select content on a smart phone or tablet before 'casting' it to your television. So you use the content on your phone/tablet and "push" it to the TV. The new wifi antennas in the device are noticeable and the size is diminutive. This is an improvement over the previous iteration - and is well worth the $35 price.

I use it mostly with my Samsung S7 Edge. Works smooth. Definitely don't use with a Mac. Mac will not stream audio with a chromecast when screen mirroring.

Perfect addition to my non smart led tv easy set up highly recommend it cool invention

I bought this about a month ago but hasn't played it it too much as it is in another room in my home which I don't always use. The setup was very easy to say the least. I was done in less than five minutes from start to finish. This was a second unit I bought because I like the qualities of the video streaming and the wireless range of the product. I would recommend it to anyone for the price.
