I previously have galaxy 5 and used Mhl adapter. After fpurchasing Note5, I found out that the mhl adapter would not work with mhl.. so I found this. Works perfectly....

Has been working great since day 1! I love that if it is just on it displays some really pretty photos. Apps are being added to the Google Home everyday so there hasn't been an app I came across that I wanted to watch that wasn't on the Google Chromecast list. I watchYoutube, Netflix, BET, VH1, Fox, ABC, Fullscreen, and E! And they all work on my Chromcast! One of my many good purchases!

I use it mostly with my Samsung S7 Edge. Works smooth. Definitely don't use with a Mac. Mac will not stream audio with a chromecast when screen mirroring.

Easy set up, easy to cast with the ability to stream in 4k. It's literally the same as the basic Chromecast except it has the added ability to stream 4k. Easy to setup, and even when I bought a new router and created a new home network, the reconnection was super easy, as were all of the Chromecasts. Plus I trust it's privacy wayy more than simply streaming right off of my or any smart TV.

Works well to watch public channel TV from their website. I have only used it a few time so I may learn more as I use it more for this and other options

I had no problems installing and configuring the Google Chromecast on my Android televisions (Sony and Samsung). A few months ago, my "smart" televisions supported casting directly with no need for an adapter. Then Google updated their software and the smart tv's did not update. By adding the Chromecast device I can now cast easily from supporting apps on my phone and or tablet. No muss, no fuss!

With this product I do not need an apple tv, an amazon firestick, or an hdmi cable to mirror my laptop to my tv. If you DO NOT have a smart tv, but you have a smart phone, GET THIS ITEM NOW! It will allow you to watch netflix, hulu, music, and any other app (other than games) from your phone onto your tv. This item is so good I've now bought 3, one for every room of my house. Get it, get it, get it!

Very handy. I use it for youtube, NFL sunday ticket etc. In our day in age, it is the best way to never miss shows or games!

I really enjoy this product. It works great and fast. It's also really easy to set up.

I dont like having to set it up every time I change tv's. But the convenience is great. I can't get Amazon prime videos but at least I can screen mirror to watch them.

Simply put, the way Google's Chromecast manages streaming is that rather than controlling the device directly with an included remote and "apps" on a device, you instead select content on a smart phone or tablet before 'casting' it to your television. So you use the content on your phone/tablet and "push" it to the TV. The new wifi antennas in the device are noticeable and the size is diminutive. This is an improvement over the previous iteration - and is well worth the $35 price.

I bought this about a month ago but hasn't played it it too much as it is in another room in my home which I don't always use. The setup was very easy to say the least. I was done in less than five minutes from start to finish. This was a second unit I bought because I like the qualities of the video streaming and the wireless range of the product. I would recommend it to anyone for the price.

Love the portability and ease of use. Just plug it into the TV, select a compatible show or movie on your mobile device and hit play. Very convenient and beats watching all your streaming content on the mobile screen! If you're in the market for a TV, consider getting one of VIZIO's SmartCast products instead, which has the same functionality built in. But until then, this Chromecast does the job nicely.

I like the Chromecast. When I get it to configure it, it works as expected. I loved the addition of Spotify to this version. My issues are: I'm a Linux user AND a Blackberry user. There is practically no way to set it up if you don't have Windows/Mac or Android/iPhone/Windows. And also, it does not work on places like hotels with a Login screen. If you got any of this, you need to get one of the compatible devices to set it up, and for solving the hotel logins issue you need an extra router that can act as the "device in the middle" so you authenticate the second router "connection" with other device connected to it.

I have the older version of chromecast and decided to pick up the updated version so I could connect to my 802.11AC wifi for better speeds and picture quality. Unfortunately this version does not work as well as the old version did. Needs to be rebooted after just a few hours of use or picture quality degrades fast. It will disconnect from my computer and start chopping and no amount of playing with the browser add-in will do anything and I will have to connect to it via the chromecast app and reboot it before it will start working again. Still solid choice for streaming something but not as good as the old version was.
