You can cast many apps to your tv via wifi. If you download the AllCast app on your phone you can cast any movies or pictures you may have downloaded to your phone.

Had no problem setting it up right out of the box. Once set up, found it easy to use and get family to use it as well.

Works well, a little buggy yet, but I'm sure Google will get that ironed out in due time. Some YouTube videos don't play on the first time, can be a problem if you have little ones where on demand isn't fast enough.

Love streaming movies and games onto this device. Its compatible with most things.

I have the original and now have the newer one. Love that it supports 5ghz. Moved my older one to the bedroom for streaming from my phone. Gerat deal for the price.

I recently switched to a Google phone which is why I decided to buy this. This is nice and streamlined product because you just need your phone to use it, (your phone is the remote). I also enjoy the promotions that the play store offers. If you are into the ultra 4k tvs, I don't think you need the ultra chromecast. If you have a basic and hd tv then this is perfect.

If you have an old TV laying around, you can use it to watch Netflix (if you have a subscription) and control everything with your IPad. Also, you can download apps from TV stations. I wasn't able to get live streaming. Watch YouTube or Ted. But, your cable company will block certain things. Best thing ever to get around another cable box. Very, very easy to set up and use.

Not bad but not good either. Is glitchy at times. My Samsung tab s3 only connects via apps. Although my galaxy s8 connects with no problem. Etc etc etc

My friend suggested this and I'm glad I did. Pulls a lot of Internet, have to turn wifi off on phones while streaming.

There isn't much to say, but it works. It took some tweaking to get it going on the 5Ghz band, but it works perfectly.

Why mess around with a dedicated device for streaming when you can use Chromecast and only be limited to what you want to stream. You can cast nearly anything that you can display on your computer or mobile device with ease. I have one on every TV in my house, Next time you find something cool on your device and say hey take a look at this. Just cast it to your 60" TV so the whole room can see.

Only complaint about this product is it is somewhat implied and shown on commercials to be plug free. It does require power so this makes it difficult to possibly find an HDMI port that has room when TV is mounted.

The Chromecast does a lot of cool stuff but once you start getting into video streaming the performance suffers a bit. Make sure you have a good home network to make the best out of it. Can't beat the price though.

This is my 2:Nbd Chromecast. The new design does the job as well as the old one. Not sure if the performance is any different but I have not noticed a difference.
