Only complaint about this product is it is somewhat implied and shown on commercials to be plug free. It does require power so this makes it difficult to possibly find an HDMI port that has room when TV is mounted.

Can stream my screen and media to the television with this nifty device. Would definitely recommend. Also, very portable! Fits right in your pocket!!

The Chromecast does a lot of cool stuff but once you start getting into video streaming the performance suffers a bit. Make sure you have a good home network to make the best out of it. Can't beat the price though.

Why mess around with a dedicated device for streaming when you can use Chromecast and only be limited to what you want to stream. You can cast nearly anything that you can display on your computer or mobile device with ease. I have one on every TV in my house, Next time you find something cool on your device and say hey take a look at this. Just cast it to your 60" TV so the whole room can see.

Bought this product because I was looking for the smaller HDMI converter so I can watch NETFLIX thru my phone, while connected to a flat screen tv. Well it works much better, and I don't have to leave my phone plugged in next to the tv. It's wireless and easy to use. Even apple TV doesn't compare. I have to log in to NETFLIX every time I was using apple TV. 2 thumbs way up!!

I have a Samsung TV and I am able to cast directly to my TV from my laptop, phone and iPad. It works great. The only reason for a 4 star rating instead of 5 star is because when the Chromecast is pulled into the TV, but not being used (while watching TV), it occasionally starts displaying wall papers (screensaver) and I had to press a button on my remote to get back to the TV screen. Alternative is to unplug it from the TV.

Had no problem setting it up right out of the box. Once set up, found it easy to use and get family to use it as well.

This is my 2:Nbd Chromecast. The new design does the job as well as the old one. Not sure if the performance is any different but I have not noticed a difference.

Works good with all my devices. Use it to stream the internet feed for watching my neice play college basketball when we cant make it to the games.

This device is much better than the original. The additional antennas and upgraded WiFi radios pickup up stronger signals and stream much faster than the original.

Works good, easy installation and great watching videos from my phone on my home TV

It works as intended. Still not sure about leaving something just dangle from any sort of port. The weight would eventually ruin the port but hopefully not in the lifetime of the device and/or tv.

For the discounted price of the holiday season, this is such a nice gift. I love everything about the Chromcast and the elegance in its simplicity.

I have used it once and not sure I will keep it because I just bought a smart TV with it already built in. My TV is 32” so streaming is not so different than just watching Netflix, etc on my iPad.

We were saddened to realize that this is not kindle tablet friendly. I thought surely it would work for such a common tablet, but found that only about half of our devices are compatible. Once we connected though, it was a breeze. We were able to use our smartphones as well to connect and were pleased with the number of options on the device for viewing. Finally, and although probably a manufacturing defect, we had trouble almost immediately with it not fitting in the HDMI ports on any tv. It was loose in every device we plugged it into, including new tv's. We will be exchanging and hope it is a fluke.

If you have an old TV laying around, you can use it to watch Netflix (if you have a subscription) and control everything with your IPad. Also, you can download apps from TV stations. I wasn't able to get live streaming. Watch YouTube or Ted. But, your cable company will block certain things. Best thing ever to get around another cable box. Very, very easy to set up and use.

This is a great device for taking on the road or even using at home. If you have family or friends over you can always share from their devices to this on your tv. That way everyone does not have to sit around your phone or tablet to see the same thing. The native apps from Google are great with the cast to because you can run them and have your device off to save battery power. I wish there were more apps that could do that. That was the only thing so far that I was not fully happy with.

Was a little hard to hook up, but not too bad. Wish I would have bought this a long time ago. We have paid so much to order online movies in the past....no more!

I have Chromecast since it first came out and I love it. This works great. I have not noticed anything different between this version and the previous one though.
