Fairly good to transfer mobile or labtop movie signal to TV. Even distance is relatively far from the machine, looks good to transfer signal without buffering.

After hearing about the new enhancements in the new Chromecast I couldn’t help myself but to go ahead and buy the latest version. However, real world usage doesn’t seem to show notable difference from last year’s model. Watching Hula or Netflix will cause the device to buffer more than the original Chromecast. I have the Asus ac68u which overall provides a great connection to all devices. Yet I still have many issues with the Chromecast streaming abilities even when connected to the 5 GHz band.

I use it in my home, and it works perfectly. Broadcast television is great, but streaming is the future, and Google's Chromecast is one of the easiest ways of getting video streams onto your existing non-smart TV. The puck plugs into an HDMI port on the rear of your TV, is powered by micro-USB, and is controlled by your existing smart device. Simply open up a compatible app, and tap the 'Cast' button to immediately see content streamed to the big screen.

Bought the new 2015 version to add a Chromecast to my family room and it works great just like the first version with the addition that it works with wifi 5GHz.

I really like it .. And it is sound âmzazing in My Bed room... And it connectđ with everything .. Like iPhone iPad tv computer with Bluetooth .. So cool thought

I bought this for my mom so she didn't have to bring the roku that I got her up and down the stairs every time she wanted to use it. Helped her set it up and messed around with it a little. I ended up really liking it and probably gonna get one. Really easy interface. She uses an iPad and I was using my iPhone. Worked fine. Good 1080p picture too. But I guess that depends on your isp.

I picked up one of these, hooked it up tot he TV and can very easily cast video/movies/tv from my phone. Picked up several more for the rest of the TVs in the house. Other users in the house are also able to use their phones to cast as well. Did not require separate configurations, they were just able to view and cast to all devices on our shared network. Great product!

Connects to Smartphone but will not connect to laptop or tablet. And now disappeared from my phone. Reading that it seems only to connect to certain brand routers.

I bought 3 of these. 2 for friends and one for myself. They all work well. Can share/stream from my laptop (need to have Chrome browser) or android smartphone.

Although there are other ways to cast mobile screen media to your tv, this is by far the easiest method we have tried. There are other apps that enable this function, but the Chromecast is so much easier. Just plug it into your tv, download your app, and cast away. It is so much fun to look at pictures and videos with family members, all while enjoying them on the big screen tv.

Google Chrome is just the thing to connect all electronics in your house hold and enjoy them to the fullest extent. Makes a wonderful gift and it's affordable.

Great for watching videos ... even more fun when the teens have a few friends over. They can all separately queue up videos in a playlist for their own phones.
