This produce was used with YouTube TV and Direct Tv now. I recommend this product as it was not expensive and it allowed me to cut my cable bill down a third. I YouTube Tv was $40 a month bit direct tv now I got a deal through my cell phone company and now I pay $35 a month and I get HBO and more channels for my kids through direct tv now. Also I can stream everything right from my phone or tablet. No more looking for remotes.

In my office, I have the need to stream content for training, customer presentations, etc. This particular unit is the 3rd in the office. I have had nothing but great results with this product, which is why I continue to buy additional units as the need arises. I also recommend it to friends who are looking for a way to take full advantage of their HD TVs.

I like the functionality, and it works well, but only where there are "cast" options in your apps which are limited. However,, in comparison to Apple TV, and particularly when you already have a "smart" TV, the Chromecast is much more economical just for the purpose or casting to your TV. Casting from the PC screen also works but you must do controls from there too (although Chrome Remote Desktop can be used to operate your PC desktop from your phone),

This product does a great job as a substitute to having cable subscription. It allows me to watch virtually anything I want. The Siri remote is surprisingly easy to use and it is definitely easier than typing on-screen. I didn't think it'd let me type using my voice considering that I have speech impediment and even then, it is able to type what I am saying.

Convenient way to stream movie and TV show apps on your TV through an iPad or mobile device. Why pay for channels you never watch. Set up can take some time, but once connected to your home WiFi it's all set. I have yet to figure out how to get local (free HD) broadcasting, although most have a free news app. Many apps require a monthly subscription fee $$$, some require log-in thru your cable subscription, while others are free. Do the math....

The chromecast is compact and super easy to use and works great.

I got this device for my sister in South America. I tried it in US first. Have no complains. My sister has been watching her favorite shows as well.

This is actually my second Chromecast - my first being the original version. This is a great upgrade over the original - better wi-fi performance and support for AC and 5GHz bands, so if you've got a capable router, it'll make the experience that much better. It's easy to set up and if you stream things online, and don't have a smart TV, it's a must-have.

Love it! Works great with the Google Mini! Gonna purchase another one soon for my other Google Mini. I have no regrets whatsoever!!

Got this so I could view my Android phone (Moto G4) videos on TV to share with others. Would rather just have a straight HDMI cable; would be more reliable and faster. I don't use it too often (few times a year now?) and so every time the last 3 attempts I have to endure an UPDATE! Brutal! What am I, using Windows? After one of the updates there was glitching so I blame the update. The update can take a few minutes. So that's a poor experience. I want to share a quick vacation video set with mom, and I have to stand there like a doofus waiting for a stupid update to download and then restart the goofy thing. And then when it DOES work, you're at the mercy of your wi-fi system. Streaming HD video over a wi-fi system, which is sharing resources...well, yeah, I wish I would have gotten a MHL friendly phone (not Google Chrome fault, though they're making me rue a separate decision) so I could connect an HDMI cable directly and be done with it. No glitch. No update. No accidental broadcast. As far as all the other stuff one could possibly stream, I still think a computer/laptop with a keyboard is better than this and any of the devices (DVD players/TVs) that have built in wi-fi. Recommending only because there is no other option in many cases.

This has opened up a new world of viewing possibilities in our living room. This our second Chromecast which is no longer wired between the Chromecast box and the HDMI attacment. The remote is incredibly small we have ours attached to the top of the box with a loop of invisible packing tape. Only requiring changing back to TV after (but not prior to) streaming.
