It's no secret that this thing is one of the cheapest thing in the market for sending your audio or Vedic wirelessly to your TV. I own an Apple TV 3 and I use chromecast more than I'm using the ATV. Chromecast will simply receive the URL from your phone and plays te audio or video fr itself opposed to ATV which transits the audio or video over the network.

I am using it on my Samsung 55 inch TV and it is great to watch all the video and movies on my big screen with this Chromecast.

Bought this for a friend after using the old version, works great but sometimes it buffers. Probably its the internet speed, but the product works fine when there is no internet speed issue.

One of the best purchases to make if you have a usb port on you tv. Great for watching u-tube videos and streaming services like Netflix. I use this devise everyday to watch videos on my TV. Download the app to you phone so you can cast to your TV. You can also cast videos and photos you have on your phone enjoy.

Great since as I get older my smartphone and tablets become harder to see. More and more apps are becoming chromecast friendly (except Amazon prime videos, grrrr) The biggest problem is that Chromcast has a known defect that it will occasionally lose all sound. The resolution according to support is to reset app, reset chromecast, reconfigure chromecast, change ports, and in general just play around until it works again Very frustrating.

Daughter is in college and out of the dorm so this is perfect so they don’t have a cable bill in addition to their WiFi bill.

I bought this chromecast as a Christmas gift for my husband and he really likes it! Uses it often. Definitely worth it to buy!

The chromecast installs easily in an HDMI port, and works as advertised. No issues to date.

For some reason, Netflix buffers constantly. I researched all the forums, and set up the router correctly to no avail. The worst part about this product is the support. For instance, once you set it up, you'll notice it has an error message that hundreds of people are posting about. But Google support simply asks you to do all the stupid things like resetting to manufacturer's settings, unplugging it, etc. -Not all YouTube videos can be aired on your tv through this device. It says so, right on YouTube. ****If you take it with you to a hotel, you have to reset it to manufacturer's settings and set it up all over again because you've switched networks. And even then, it might not work because this thing is super finnicky about the router settings. So, if you live in an apartment, or are locked into some configuration due to AT&T or Comcast, it will not work very well, or at all in some scenarios. To confirm this, even the "tech" on the forum told me this is true.*** - The audio quality is worse than the audio your own smart TV provides. Even with the home theater hookup, you'll notice it. Depending on your android device - even with the same unit, plugged into the same TV - the experience is different. I have gone through the trial with 3 different Android (lollipop) devices, and two Apple devices. The performance differed for all of the devices. Save yourself the trouble and get any other device. Roku Stick, Roku, Apple Tv... just don't go this route. Unless resetting, waiting and uninstalling apps (over and over again) is your thing, then be my guest. I have it in the guest bedroom and have one dedicated spare phone to run this thing. I don't bother moving it. So, it rarely gets used.
