Chromecast is by far the easiest and least expensive streaming device on the market. This is my 3rd.

Easy to use and very easy to set up. Works great. using mobile devices for a remote works quite well.

Google's first Chromecast was an ugly little stick that nonetheless served an important purpose: At $35, it was about the cheapest way to make a plain old TV "smart," letting people get Netflix, Hulu, YouTube and movies from Google Play on their televisions with zero fuss.

I finally cut the cable. This was an easy set-up. I had Netflix and Hulu up and running within 15 minutes.(I already had a subscription.) I prefer watching movies and shows on my TV instead of the computer. I have to use my phone as the remote, which takes a little getting used to, but the adjustment period wasn't too painful. Everything now comes over my WiFi. I'm saving about a $100/yr over cable.

I bought this because I needed a way to stream Netflix and Hulu without a PS4/Xbox/other expensive device. I chose the chromecast over the roku express because although the chromecast doesn’t have a remote, it requires some device to cast from. This means that whenever I use it, I’ll have my phone on me, and therein I’ll have a remote. I also very specifically chose the chromecast because the google home mini was on sale for 30 dollars, and this meant that even if I didn’t have my phone on me, I could just say “hey google out stranger things on tv” and it’ll do it. Same with play, pause, rewind, fast forward, etc. This feature does only work with Netflix and YouTube for now, but I think that will soon change. Standalone I think the chromecast is good, with a google home mini I believe the chromecast is amazing. I use them both numerous times a day, and with no notable hiccups along the way.

Love that I found this Chromecast. I had a tv in my basement but was to cheap to pay for another cable box. Already pay for six of them. This device plugs right into the tv and you can stream anytime you have on your phone, iPad or other devices right onto the tv. I stream Netflix movies and my workout app right on the large tv instead of watching on my phone. Would highly recommend this to anyone.

The Chromecast is a simple device to use, plugs in and is ready to go. It gives us an alternative to regular cable, as our TV is not a Smart TV. We primarily use this to cast Netflix movies from my wife's phone to the TV, and it works flawlessly.

It's very easy to plug and use. Using this we can connect TV with Google home mini.

I brought this as gift and its not big and does not take up space. It is also very easy to setup.

Easy to set up, easy (and fun) to use, easy to redeem promotional offers. You can control 'casting' via smart phone and tablet (via app) as well as PC (with Chrome browser, using app/extention). My older computer has had issues streaming HD video. The Chromecast allows me to not only watch videos in HD, but to watch them on the TV. I've recommended the Chromecast to friends and know of two who have purchased & are enjoying it.

The best thing of Chromecast (over other dedicated TV solutions such as fire TV stick) is this scenario: you don't plan on watching any particular show, you are just surfing randomly on web using your phone, and meet a funny video (typically on YouTube), now you can just hit one icon on your web page and then instantly you can enjoy the video on your big screen! Besides, there are lots of media apps supporting Chromecast too!

Wanted to take my xbox upstairs, but felt I couldn't due to the wrath that would be put upon me by my wife not being able to stream netflix downstairs. I eliminated this issue by purchasing this chrome cast. Simple installation and set up. It walks you through everything step by step. Once it's set up and connected to your WiFi, you just get the chromecast app on whatever device you want to use and bam, its on your TV.

At first I was skeptical about buying a Chromecast since I already have a Smart TV, PS3, and am able to stream movies from my PC. I figured, why in the world would I need another device to stream content to my TV? Well, after buying one I can say that casting apps to play on your TV is one of the easiest things ever, and is supported by just about everything. Also, installing the Chromecast is unbelievably quick and painless.

Having never heard of chromecast before, this year I checked it out against Apple TV, roku, and the fire stick/ fire tv. I was new to streaming having been using cable exclusively for many years, I found this to be a refreshing way to watch programs and more. There are a ton of apps to choose from and I'm guessing even more are coming. After living with the chromecast for a month, I decided to get rid of my cable boxes throughout the house and see if I would be missing cable service. So far so good. No paying extra for HD, dramatically less commercials viewed, and more viewing of content I want to see. Considerably less expensive than Apple TV and I'm digging it. The roku and fire tv options were not my thing. I much preferred the iOS apps for control, never searching for a remote, etc. it is just so quick and instant with what I want to do. I give chromecast 5 out of 5 stars. Now keep those chromecast enabled apps coming!

This gadget is so wonderfull, it is easy to operate it, cheaper than the apple tv and i love it.

Setup was so easy that anyone can do it on their own. Easy to use and picture and sound quality are great for the price. Great purchase.
