So the biggest thing about the Chromecast is the vast support of services and devices that can be used. And when they all work they work pretty well but there are cases were the experience is not perfect. For one I was having major issues using Direct TV's Now service with the Chromecast, it would constantly disconnect and reboot my Chromecast. I have also come across issues with apps like Netflix, Spotify, and even YouTube, yes the very service that Google makes and has issues with its own device... So I feel that development on the Google Chromecast is still a work in progress. There are too many times were I have more issues than successes using the device. It may not be Google's problem but more of developers trying to program for the device. You wont be getting a consistent quality like you would with the likes of an Apple TV. Another point to make is the ease of use. The only way to control the Chromecast is with your smartphone. So if you'd rather use a remote than a phone to control the TV you'll definitely want to look into Apple TV or Roku because Google has no solution for a remote.

I bought this to replace my older version and love it. Now that it has ac wireless plus fixed a lot of issues with previous version.

I stream almost everything so this makes it so convenient. Haven't had any hiccups with connection and great quality

Love it, because I can see my videos from my Iphone in my TV, a little hard to set it up, but once set it works fine

I've wanted a chromecast for a while but without a very strong intent since I already have a smart TV. I've used it quite a bit since I've had it though because it works well with other apps on my phone that my TV does not have. I also can move it to other rooms of the house fairly easily in order to have Netflix wherever I want.

Works as intended only gripe if when your phone or tablet disconnects from the chrome cast you have to reconnect so cannot pause a movie to do something like with a roku remote.

I love Chromecast, but I only purchased this one because my other one just died after approximately 2 years of usage.

For a non-tech savvy person like myself, this was easy to install and even easier to use on a daily basis. We already had one for our bedroom TV that was not a smart TV, but we liked the interface so much better than our smart TV in the living room, that we bought another Chromecast for the living room TV!

This is a great device especially if you travel a lot and stay at hotels just plug it in and stream almost anything from your phone

Only issue I see with this device is , once connected to the TV , it takes precedence over the other inputs. There is a little delay in the streaming of Youtube video and audio.

I tried out the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter but was disappointed that the screen resolution was stuck at 640x480 even though the projector resolution is 1024 x 768. Got Chrome Cast and it worked perfectly. Setup was a breeze and you can cast just what is in the browser or the entire screen. Youtube cast works great.

Wanted to add to Google Home and this is what was needed. Easy to send YouTube Music and other media to television.

Brought this to use at work to broadcast Go90...worked like a charm. Should have gotten it earlier to avoid unnecessary headaches

Not much different but loads movie a little faster. Not worh full price if you already have the 1 gen, I bought it at black friday price. Overall happy with it.

I travel quite a bit for work so having the Chromecast with me makes it much easier to watch Netflix in the hotel. Watching it on my IPad wasn't optimal so now I can "cast" it to the big screen in the hotel and watch as if I were at home. The only negative was the initial set up process. It was supposed to be quick and simple, however, it proved to take quite a bit longer than expected. However, once done, it was great.

Google chromecast is the best device to make work presentations mirroring my laptop or my cellphone in a big screen.

Did not have any problems setting up because it is relatively easy to do and it works great.

Just plug and play. Easy to install. Fast and smooth.

Totally worth the small price! Gives your older television longer life so you don't have to upgrade for the extras on newer sets.
