Vacationed @ an Air B&B, which the TV was hooked up to a chromecast. Loved it so much, I bought a chromecast for my TV @ home.

It's good to make your normal TV into a smart TV. Only issue was of heating. It got hot in 30 mins of use. I am hoping it will be able to sustain hours of streaming time.

I had the original Chromecast and really liked it. This simply improves on everything. Dual band support, faster loading etc.

I love my chromecast. Hope for more windows compatability other than just via chrome. Works flawlessly with my Galaxy Tab s2.

We love our Chromecast. It helps complete our house where we did away with traditional TV and now use Youtube TV.

I know 2nd Gen have better than 1st Gen in several technical features, but I feel it is almost the same. I like both, but I would say go with 1st Gen if the price is less.

Item works just as described. I'm not really sure what you would spend a ton more to get the same functionality.

My smart phone is my remote control. I change the song playing on my TV from my bed room.Amazing casting device.

Works like advertised. Only wise I could just stream from my ipad no matter the application....Like the AMC app wont stream.

Easy set up and use fast use but sometimes it disconnects and have to reset

There is nothing better than being able to cast a funny video on to your tv so everyone can watch instead of everyone crowding around a tiny phone, or casting your vacation photos or videos. I love chromecast! It makes great a gift for grandparents so you can show them photos and videos easier!

Amazon firestick is way better but the chromcast does have some cool features. Didn't break the bank so it's a good alternative.

I enjoy the google chrome streams great. I also like how you can stream from PC. Only disadvantage is you cell phone is the remote and it seems to drain the battery more.

Plug in and play, works great with my Google home!

Very much like roku and an amazon firestick. Highly recommend getting this unless it already comes with your tv.

I got this to replace the 1st generation Chrome Cast I gave to my parents this summer. I thought the 2nd generation will be better in all ways. The design is improved and looks more like Google logo. The power consumption seems to be better (I used to run it from USB power bank some times) but there is a major change I noticed. The buffering isn't that good as in the 1st gen. So I looked for the specs online and I found out that Google took most of the buffering memory out, This would work really fine if your internet is fast enough. for slow internet (even streaming locally) it would take forever buffering-playing simultaneously... Thing I didn't have with the old Chrome Cast. Other than that, the same like the 1st gen. The Google Chrome Cast is a great device to add to your TV.

Can anyone say awesome!!! Originally I was pretty sceptical about about this product. I must say I was pleasantly surprised.
