I have a roku and love it. I bought this for another TV in the living room. I have to say, I'm sad I did not buy it before. It's a cheap 35 bucks and you can stream all the big services. Also, when my buddies come over its nice they can cast with Android and iOS.

I didn't want to pay for a cable box for my daughters' rooms when they come home to visit. They both watch Neflix, Hulu, etc. most of the time so I realized a perfect solution whould be to get a Chromecast for the TV's in their rooms. Now they really do feel right at home when they come to visit. A very inexpensive yet elegant solution to the problem and they work great and were easy to set up!

The Chromecast is simple to setup and works great to stream YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, etc. The only thing it's missing is Amazon Video, which is disappointing. I prefer this type of device so I don't need another remote and can use my iPhone or iPad.

For the price the functionality it provides is excellent. My Samsung phone had automatically connected to my Samsung Smart TV before I had this item, but not the connection is more seamless. I wish I had purchased the higher level model of Chromecast. The only thing I don't like is how it just hangs from the back of my TV. There should be a better way of connecting it.

I wanted something easy to set up and use. With the Chromecast that was not an issue. However I did get connection issues after a few days of not using it. It took plenty of tries and unplugging to finally have the Chromecast read my Nexus 6P phone. Also have gotten some lag as well, but when it works it works perfectly fine.

It is explicitly different experience than mobile version of digital assistant. This google mini works with other google products or some limited vendors products. It took little time to learn our needs and queries. I hope in future it will get sync up with more devices. It good for fun with family like quiz jokes weather etc. It greeted me on birthday which was awesome. Best one feature is broadcasting message just in case when other communication fails.

I was a skeptic prior to using it, as I wanted a streaming box with apps built-in, but was I proven wrong! I picked one up and have been very happy since. It has streamed flawlessly from a few android phone apps I've tried - VUDU, Movies Anywhere, Youtube, Google Movies & TV, Amazon Video and a few others. It also streams what you have on your phone flawlessly, with no lag or judder (jerkiness). It was very easy to setup and start using. Highly recommended from a former skeptic. NOTE: do not compare this to Casting/Mirroring off your phone directly to another capable device like a Smart TV or Blu-ray player. I have tried that feature, and it pales in comparison to using a Chromecast. Without a Chromecast, you will experience a lot of buffering, and unwatchable jerky video. This unit is worth every penny.

I have an Apple TV however, I have a mix of apple, Android, and Windows products so I needed something more versatile. I did some research and it appeared that ChromeCast was the way to go. Pros: It provides and easy way to mirror multiple OS devices Inexpensive Easy for traveling (apple tv takes up more space in travel bags) Simple set-up and use Cons limited security Seams to disconnect for no reason some times Can't use your mobile hotspot and mirror from that device at the same time.

Easy to use for streaming videos. Only issue is that sometimes it looses connection with device and you cannot pause video

This is the best streaming device out there. Can't beat the price and simplicity.

This new upgrade is basically version 1 with a more efficient antenna system. The redesign of the stick to a disc with about a 2 inch HDMI Cable allows for easier setup in cramped spaces. Another cool feature is that you can connect and stream directly to the CC from a connected device. This should allow you to stream from your phone directly to the CC in settings where getting the CC on the local network a challenge, think hotels and guest houses. A great product for a great price

Got it for 19usd and works very well. I plugged into the kitchen tv.

I had been searching for a way to be able watch videos on my tv instead of having them be limited to my iPad or iPhone. As soon as I found out about this, I jumped on it. I can now watch some of my favorite fitness channels (via YouTube) on my tv, stream Netflix, & Hulu, etc. There are so many other functions that I've yet to learn, but even at this point, I'm so happy to have found this!

Needed it for my Nexus 6p. It was easy to install and was able to connect device right away. I don't have cable in my room so I have the app for my cable provider on my phone and I am able to see live tv on my 49 inch without any issues. Might lag a little but it's wifi. Figures. Overall happy with the Chromecast. Wished it didn't have to be plugged to a power outlet to use. Oh well.

Faster than the previous version, works well with both Android and iOS devices.
