I bought this item for a standard TV that wasn't smart, thanks to it now I can watch lots of things with the built in chromecast, Netflix YouTube, etc..

Everyone should own a Chromecast, especially if you own an Android device. The Chromecast is excellent to mirror the things you would otherwise have to watch in your mobile device. Netflix and many apps work perfectly with Chromecast. Many people ask if they should choose Roku over Chromecast, and my answer is simple. Chromecast has more features but fully depends on a mobile device to work. Roku is an independent device with its own remote control. If you value the remote control and prefer not to depend on a phone or tablet, then choose Roku. Otherwise, go for Chromecast.

The Google Chrome Cast is a great way to stream all my favorite series on HBO and Netflix . Streaming is wonderful as I am in control of the time I watch my shows and movies.

It's really easy on setup. Just plug it in and register on the wifi network after that pretty much any device can connect with most apps etc that have the cast button

This thing was so easy to setup and works great. It was so nice to be able to talk with someone in the store about what I needed. I'm glad I listened to him.

Ironically Chromecast cannot cast from the Chrome browser or any other browser on my phone. The number of apps that can cast to the chromecast is still limited. I only use mainly YouTube and Spotify because many other apps don't work with it which is frustrating. Also - the switching the casting between my phone, ipad, and computer is not smooth. for instance, I've been casting from my phone and now want to switch to the ipad, it sometimes won't transition smoothly and sometimes does not switch at all until I wait until the next day. Hoping for it to improve but for now it's better than nothing - that's the only reason I would recommend it.

I purchased this product after watching a friend use it at his home. It was very easy to setup and is very easy to use. I will be purchasing more for other rooms in the House.

I'm a first time user for the chromecast. I have a vizio smart tv which is super nice but I like that I can basically cast whatever I want on the tv!

I was looking for a simple device to cast my tablet streaming video to the TV. There were $50+ options but this gadget does alot more for much less $.

I have been streaming to my main TV and although my router is far away..... This Chromecast has delivered the video incredibly with very few occurrences of lag with the video picture and the audio.

Using the Chromecast is so much easier to use than my own TV apps. The setup was very simple and I couldn’t be more happier about this purchase.

FAST AND CONSISTENT.SIMPLE TO INSTALL AND EASY TO SETUP . WORKS WITH WIFI OR ETHERNET. NOW I DON’T EVEN NEED TO TOUCH THE REMOTE TO TURN OFF THE TV OR CHANGE.

Works as advertised and is very simply to use. Don't understand completely why we need to always stay connected to power via adapter and it also keeps TV in standby mode when powered. Easy to use with all Android devices.

When we dropped paying for cable TV and switched to Internet only, this was the device I used to stream from our laptops and phones to our televisions.

This version works much better than the original which was extremely choppy and sometimes would stop altogether. This version has a very slight amount of chop but not enough to detract from the overall viewing experience.

It’s a great product for someone who loves to use their phone while occupying Netflix of any other streaming service. Would definitely recommend to a friend!
