This is faster and better designed than the previous version. This is a great bargain fir the price. Most of us already have a cel phone or tablet to stream from. Why waste money one Roky box or something similar. It's easy to set up and does not kill your phone battery

My LED TV stopped supporting some of the streaming video apps I currently used and the speed of streaming Youtube videos through its old web interface was very slow and clunky. The Chromecast efficiently allowed me to have those abilities again with much better performance. I also like that I can mirror my smartphone. It is very easy to cast things to the TV, but can also lead to occasionally silly mistakes like switching the TV to the Chromecast's input while someone was watching a show on the Cable input. There are some settings that can help with this, but the device's easy accessibility can also be a problem at times. It also lacks quite a few features that some of its competition offers like ethernet connectivity and USB ports.

Where shall I begin? Oh yeah the price! Super affordable! And not to mention very easy to use. For some time now, i had been contemplating purchasing an Apple TV. Of course, the price of an Apple TV kept me from purchasing. Somehow I came across this chromecast, and initially I was a bit worrisome since all my products at home are Apple. I wasn't sure how well they would sync, and whatnot. Well a month in now, and I couldn't have asked for a better product. It syncs to my iPhone and iPad and now I can stream Game Of Thrones on my big screen! Yay! Definitely worth trying.

Setup is easy. Using the Chromecast device is a little confusing at first. Not a hardware issue, but a lack of direction of use issue. Some of apps interface between your mobile device and the Chromecast are a little clunky. Once you figure it out, you are good to go.

I like the price on Google products. They seem to work perfectly. I I stream a signal from my Plex server to it without any delays or hick-ups. I also use Netflix and works perfect with the App on Ipad. The price makes it no problem to change from the first to this one.

This new chromecast is a big improvement over the last version. However it still stumbles and lags when steaming from a home PC media server. Streaming content through netflix, hulu, YouTube and others works very well. When casting from a laptop connected to the same wireless and less than 5 feet away it still lags and appears to buffer.

I needed the ability to stream whatever was on my computer or even phone to the TV. I tried another product and it didn't work because I didn't have the right hardware. The Chromecast made it easy! As long as you are using the Chrome browser, anything will stream to the TV. Best of all, while it's streaming, your computer is still useful with other browser tabs or programs. My iPhone streamed easily too. There are many apps that will stream and not take up the processing of your computer/phone making it even better. This purchase was a no-brainer and I would highly recommend it.

This is my second chrome caster my first was the original Chrome caster and it worked great for me as I find with The new version 2 zyou definitely need good wifi and a decent phone helps also.I haven't had any problems with this device and it was very easy To setup.

Able to turn an old 720p monitor into shop TV. Able to stream from the house wifi. Able to stream youtube, HULU, Netflix or anything I want from phone or tablet while in shop. Next is to see how I can use this in combination with the Google home.

Watching Netflix movies or personal pictures is effortless. Working on my computer and sharing the screen or just an application is wonderful. You don't need any longer a video beam. And all these for just 35 bucks. Unbeatable. I recommend Chromecast without any doubt.

I have been using Chromecast for a while now. The moment I found out that new Chromecast has been introduced, it was no brainer for me to buy it. I immediately noticed the improvement in speed and the use of dual wi-fi frequency. I am extremely happy with the purchase.

My TV does screen mirroring but not casting. My phone does casting but not screen mirroring. Google Chromecast is what I needed to get my phone's content onto my TV screen. Simple to set up and use. Just like Google, Chromecast is very intuitive.

We were facing difficulties to cast our program from Ipad/iphone/Laptop to our big 55" TV. It's best selection to replace HDMI cable. Now it's very very easy to cast our favorite programs to our big screen. I highly recommend this product to all.

Easy to setup and use. The chromecast is a great way to broadcast videos from my laptop onto my screen without having to deal with a cable. The 5 ghz compatability is perfect for a fast reliable connection. I now use the older model as a travel chromecast on the fly.

For those on Apple products, using Chrome as your browser allows it to work well. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an inexpensive way to throw their subscriptions on a screen.

The love it for the screen casting, that's what I wanted. If you're looking for a device to run Netflix, or other apps, it works well but I kind of like my roku because the remote is easier. Don't get me wrong, this little thing is powerful and easy to use. Love it.

Google Chromecast does exactly what it says. It works perfectly with chromecast compatible apps and chrome tabs. You can watch movies with 1080P without any freezing. Desktop mirroring can be improved more.

Easy way to get Netflix or HBO Go streaming to a TV that isn't smart or has apps; works from both a phone or computer. Did not have the old version so I can't really compare the two.

This device is perfect for a basic TV like mine, it's really simple to setup and to cast from your phone. It even neater to pair with your google home, so you can give it voice commands, to bring up apps like youtube, netflix, pandora, and etc.
