We have a tv that wasn't a smart tv but it worked great!! I did a little research and found the chromecast and saved several hundred dollars!!! It works great!!!

Great device, I used at at first daily when I first purchased it, with my streaming VIA 'My Galaxy S4' device, than upgraded to a 'Note 5'; & @ 1st it wouldn't let me for atleast, 4 mo. Or so, stream w. 6.0 software, than w. The newest version updates that cleared about I'd say, 3 WKS. ago it works perfect again, yes!! My wife and I cut our cable subscription a couple years ago and relied primarily on local broadcast channels and Netflix/Hulu for our television viewing. No longer having to connect out laptop to the television is a huge plus to an already awesome way of getting additional entertainment. With simple set up and navigation with the Google Home app or via the direct app (Netflix, Hulu, HBO Now, ESPN, CNN etc) we have replaced the $200/month cable bill with this device. BRAVO!

I have used stream device from Samsung and others that seemed to have bandwith and delay issues that I have not encountered with the Chromecast,. I have streamed content from both windows (with chrome videostream extension) as well as a multitude of Android devices and have had no issues using the Chromecast. I have two other sets that have ver 1 Chromecast and have not had issues even when streaming different contents to different set. To me this device is a no brainer for the cost.

Device is very easy to install, is hidden from view of the TV so no cords, etc are visible. Great product!

Best and portable device for casting from your mobile and tablet to your TV. Good and budget friendly

I had chrome cast previous version which supported only 2.4ghz which was slow for streaming videos. But this worked preety well for casting videos and speed was good.
