Works great

I cast Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, music and pics/videos from my Android phone. You do of course need subscriptions for things such as Netflix and Hulu. With my Google Home I can control it with voice commands which is useful. It's fairly easy to install by plugging it into an HDMI and power source (comes with usb and wall power cord) and then download the app to your phone and it walks you through it.

My son says it was the best gift he received!

As a college student, living in an apartment and watching his expenses, he had only the most basic internet package/cable package. With Chromecast he can now watch movies, Netflix, etc. on his TV (although a small screen it is larger than his laptop screen) for a more enjoyable experience. My daughter, who is a grad student also watching her expenses, had received one as a gift and highly recommended it.

Stream some of the apps

It works, but connection is spotty
