    I bought this as a gift for my son and he loved it. As a college student, living in an apartment and watching his expenses, he had only the most basic internet package/cable package. With Chromecast he can now watch movies, Netflix, etc. on his TV (although a small screen it is larger than his laptop screen) for a more enjoyable experience. My daughter, who is a grad student also watching her expenses, had received one as a gift and highly recommended it.

    Got this for traveling and staying in hotel rooms. I use it to watch movies and TV shows from my tablet being hotels usually don't have anything good to watch.

    Chromecast was easy to set up. Wanted to stream some sermons from an app. Streaming quit after 20 min or so. You Tube seems to stream fine.

    It works most of the time, however The connection to both my HDMI and WiFi is spotty. I’m not sure how this compares to other brand models, but more reliability would be a priority next time.
