I'm so glad I finally got one of these. Makes it super easy to stream Netflix and Youtube, haven't tried other options yet. Easily transported. I'd definitely consider the Chromecast Audio if I had a stereo system.

Great and easy to setup and use. Very nice to be able to stream things from your phone onto your tv. I bought this product for my mom, who loves to watch videos and music videos on youtube and she loves the product.

This is my 4th Chromecast. I love them! I got this on sale, plus with the Google Play promotion, I ended up getting a $20 Google Play credit, making the total out of pocket basically $10. I love these little things!

Chromecast took a little tweaking to get the best signal, which I did mostly by switching it from one of my networks to another. It is easy enough to use via the app on my phone, and now I can broadcast from any computer or phone in my home to Chromecast. An alternative for an even better picture is to use an HDMI adaptor device to connect your phone directly to the television. That gives the best picture using my Samsung Galaxy S8+. But you are limited to just the content that you can get or have on your phone and you tie up your phone. So in the end, Chromecast is a smart choice.

This is a great streaming device for Android users. It allows you to cast anything from your phone screen from pictures to the CBS app that u can't use on anything else for free except your phone.

If you want to make your HD TV a smart TV, this is the thing you need to do the job. It’s easy to install and navigate. However, the only downside is that you can only use it for certain softwares, and you can’t just project any website or app on the TV.

I have never had a smart TV nor my husband. This was very easy to set up an use. I'm not computer smart but I could manage to get it to link up and use my phone to control it. Great investment for my gamer Husband .

Really amazing gadget for the price. Has it's limitations, esp. doesn't play a wide variety of video types but easy to work around. Now I can put a movie on my phone, go over to a friends house, plug in the Chromecast and play the HD movie on their tv. Also sweet for beaming the phone screen and sharing pictures. There's other options but this covers the bases quite well at a reasonable price.

This is an odd device. You hook it up to something with a USB port that can drive a display and audio. You use software on another device to play content from the "server" device. I have it connected to the back panel of my surround sound receiver. Because it's a wifi device it doesn't require line of sight transmission. Pros: It works within its limited sphere. It's inexpensive. It's handy for content stored on a network. If you have an app on your phone or tablet that can play network content and is Chromecast enabled you'll have a great deal more flexibility than you'll have with TV, DVD player, or receiver based apps. Cons: Can be finicky to configure. You must have another device--phone, tablet, etc.--to act as the server. Doesn't support as many content sources as Roku or Apple TV. Note: The first one I bought was defective. It would not retain its configuration. I exchanged it without a problem and the replacement worked fine.

Needed a way to insure ability to use tablet at meetings to share presentations. Because our organization often meets in members’ homes, this is the easiest way to insure use of their television.

despite the fact that it would be awesome if google unlock the broadcast from any browser feature , this product still the best solution for people who watch shows online and not available through cable providers

I purchased the first Chromecast product and was amazed at the ease of use but was disappointed with the connectivity and the compatibility issues. After months of not using it, I thought I would try the new model. I was blown away with the improvements. It took less than 5 minutes to install and project Netflix from my laptop / device to my home projector. Like the first product, it was easy to use. Solid connect that didn't drop and it connected seamlessly to my laptop and mobil devices!

The product works as expected, but I wish there were better tools to interface with a Mac. I really wanted to run a video from YouTube, my Mac or an iPad ON A LOOP, but I couldn't find a good solution. More a software issue than a hardware issue. The Chromecast works great.

we've been using the google chromecast to stream youtube videos and our pics and videos from dropbox onto our tv screen...it is inexpensive and very easy to use

Bought two of these as a Christmas gift and both recipients loved it. Own one for myself and it's easy to setup and great to entertain guest with videos, pictures, movies, shows, and more. Awesome buy. No regrets.

I love my Chromecast! For such a simple device at such a great price it works really well. Between chromecast and Roku, I have cut the cord and I couldn’t have been happier. Highly recommend it!

I have started to stray away from tv services and move towards videos and online videos. Keeping a minimal range of devices to one's self is great and streaming straight from the phone is great.

been using Chromecast a few weeks now. set up was ok and managed to connect to my 5g network. picture quality is great. I cast from Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung 8 inch tablet. works every time.

This is great for streaming videos from my phone to my TV. It allows me to stream and then still play on my phone simultaneously! My daughter and I love playing the few games associated with this product as well!

Maybe I was expecting more of an interface with apps like an Apple TV or a fire TV, but it just takes whatever u sling from your device. Works well for what it is, just not quite what I was expecting. Definitely keeping it, but I wouldn’t buy another.
