An upgrade from generation 1 chromecast

Now that I have upgraded to a 5 ghz wifi router and the old chromecast could only connect at 2.4 ghz, I decided to upgrade to the second generation chromecast. I can truly say that this one's faster in practically everything - connecting, streaming, etc.

Great gadget to have

Turns your regular flat screen into a Smart TV (with HDMI port). I love using it to "cast" YouTube concerts to my 50" TV while cleaning the house or working out. I keep at least two of them at all times - one goes with me when I travel.

Still in Discovery Mode

I am afraid that I might end up returning it (them, I actually bought 2 of them)...

Probably a better option out there

This was only $30 so I thought I would give it a shot. I should have invested a little more money and gone with the Roku. This loses connection regularly and it is a pain to recast something to. Not a huge fan.

Simple but.....

The design change to the flexible dongle is the reason I decided to go ahead and purchase the replacement for the rigid original which I now replaced 2x for breaking. Hopefully this one has enough give to not snap. 3rd time is a charm or 3 strikes. Either way this is the last time.
