I did not intend to buy this when it came out. I already had two (original) Chromecasts and could see no discernible reason to upgrade. But of course, my two originals started to go bad, and I had become quite enamored of them. Living without a Chromecast was not an option. My TV went dark for a week before their arrival. And while I still don't know what makes these better than the original (other than that in my case, they are functional), I am glad I have them. Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, CBS, Pandora, Lifecake are once again on our screens. I bought another one for my boyfriend so he can enjoy the same.

This google cast 2.0 is faster than google 1.0 saves me two minutes of waiting every time love that it's on 5ghz to its basically like google cast 1.0 but 10X faster

I have 2 Rukos and a chromecast but need one more for a new TV. It works great for me because j don't have cable but can still stream sports. The price is right too.

We use it to stream NetFlix and YouTube and clicking Play to starting a video loads in 3 seconds or less. For the base price, you won't find a faster, better, more supported digital TV device.

Works like a charm, definitely recommend it to others who are on the lookout to convert their non-smart television and watch movies online via streaming technology!!

Great product, works great, even the experimental features. This has been great not only at home but for travel. Simple, easy to use, and automated at the right times.

I own the first version and needed another one for a second TV. Same ease of installation but streams faster than first generation Chromecast. Definitely recommended!

This is a great device to watch streamed content from your phone/tablet, to your TV. Save some money on cable/dish programming and just watch when you want to watch.

I purchased this for my daughter. She absolutely loves it. We also own a roku streaming stick. The Chromecast seems to be a much better streaming stick than our roku.

This is a product i continue to purchase over and over again because i refuse to share! everyone that borrows it wants one so i just let them keep it.

No longer have to pay for outrageous cable bills. I select what I want to watch and when. Add the chromecast app to your smartphone...sync it with your phone...DONE!

Chromecast is one of the most useful devices I know of. From watching Netflix and Youtube to casting my android to a larger screen as a desktop, it just works great.

This divice is the best thing I could have hooked up to my TV. It helps me stream movies, youtube, and much more. Very good buy and responsibly priced.

Being able to stream almost anything makes it a better alternative to Apple TV. But still has a few drawbacks such as no dedicated channels everything has to be done from a device like a tablet smartphone or computer.

I absolutely love my chromecast not only could I stream music on my tv it works well with my google mini and plus I can watch all my shows on Netflix

We've used the Chromecast since it first came out and it continues to be an easy and device agnostic way to get content from laptop or phone to the TV.

Not since Einstein's paper on general relativity has there been anything so compact and yet so effective in the tech field marketplace for us movie and information nuts. It is unbelievable that this little product can allow us to sit in our chair, pick out thousands of movies and other internet items that we want to see, and project that movie or information onto our screens in any room in the house. And we can project this to our TV screen from our laptop, phone, or computer. Amazing! For one who was 12 years old before our family had its first television set, this tech advance is out of this world.

Works for a great work around for a cable box for every TV, but then you have to rely on the Beta Version of Screen Mirroring (and you can't yet cast to multiple TV's at once). The only Issues so far have been from the Beta Version of Screen Mirroring, and not the Chromecast itself. If you can Cast from the apps themselves(aka Netflix/Hulu/ etc.) you run into less problems then from mirroring your phone from Xfinity. If you have the newer Wifi (5ghz), this takes advantage of it and is a big bonus. Will definitely be getting one for future TV's because this is better(cheaper) than paying for a "Smart" TV.

The apps I wanted aren't available on my smart tv. Chromecast was so easy to install and use. Now anything I can get on my phone, I can get on the tv.

I bought this for a small TV that I have in my office. I do not have a cable box on it so I needed something to stream DirecTV Now while in my hole office doing homework or work. This is perfect. It is HDTV, not 4K so this was cheap and works well. The app and the promps on the TV helps you set it up. It’s is also compatible with 5G and 2.4 GHz signals.
