Sometimes connection is rocky but still a very convenient way to stream

It works great until it doesn't, and I don't know why my smartphone sometimes doesn't recognize it but I suspect my internet provider as this and my phone are the only two Wi-Fi enabled devices in my house

PROS -great for older TV's CONS -hard to separate audio and video -HDMI needed I bought this to use with an older 47" non-SMART LCD TV. It has worked fine, and we primarily use it for karaoke with YOUTUBE. Plan to skip this if you have a newer TV with Screen mirroring.

I think its a great product, but I wish it on some there are some streaming platforms it doesnt autoplay it suddenly stops after the episode, I dont know if this has to do with the platform or the device settings itself. Overall great product would recommend if you are a google user. FYI - This product only allows you to stream, the apps/streaming platforms are not built in the device sadly. Thus the 4 star.

Very similar to 2nd gen, just a bit faster and support 1080p at 60fps.

I find this to work OK with the things I've figured out so far. The one use I originally ordered to try didn't work out. I was attempting to broadcast my Spectrum Mobile TV from cell phone to TV at my sisters house; won't let me do it. Does do a nice job at home for broadcasting PC to TV. Again, still experimenting with various configurations and have found good support at Google.com.

The set up is easy. And if you k ow what your doing it will start working right away

Easy to set up and stream. Disappointed with difficulty with streaming with Apple products.

This device is paired with an application that allows us to run digital signage in our location without the need for more expensive hardware! Also allows the team to cast content when needed for presentations and personal usage.

CHROMECAST is good, needs ultra more though. I recommend still

Bought this for a second TV. We have an older Chromecast model that works just fine. However, this model is prone to frequent and seemingly random reboots. Sometimes seems to be correlated with the unit getting very hot, but not always. Would return if I could.

Got this for my wife so that she could cast foreign movies she gets on her tablet from Hong Kong. This was a replacement for one she had previously. But now we found out from Geek Squad person that Google had purchased Chromecast and now does not support the app ( V channel) used to get movies from Hong Kong. Now she cannot get any movies from Hong Kong. Bummer!!!

Great price to stream off your phone. No issues connecting of my iPhone

4 stars instead of 5 because it does not have DLNA built in. Only real options are for you to do video decoding on your phone/tablet/PC and then casting to the Chromecast. This is very inefficient. Otherwise, for streaming 3rd party services... hard to beat! Improved data receivers over previous generations with faster processor make this a great device.

My son told me what this was we needed it to watch my granddaughter's college soccer game on the internet we put it on the computer and cast it to the TV in the living room it is great you can even hook your phone up to it and look at all your photos on the big TV

It lets me play anything I need. I'm happy that it lets me stream Spotify and movies.

This is a great product especially for kids! Cheaper than a cable box per television.
