Its a shame I can't get it to play spotify but being able to cast video from streaming sites and youtube makes it well worth it over buying a new smart tv. That being said this is relatively useless if you already have a smart tv.

My reason is i believe its my old tv. We switched tv's the other tv works great with the chromcast i currently owned. I thought buying another would work

I bought this so I could configure my Receiver as another home speaker, and blast music alllll across the house during parties. This works fine for that, but after using it for videos, I find I still prefer roku's interface.

I keep learning stuff I can share to it daily, and it blows my mind how easy and convenient it is. Netflix, Hulu etc are obvious. But you can even share your laptop/pc stuff to the screen as well!

For my husband’s birthday I bought the Chrome cast device so we can see the 50,000 photos the children put on the Hub on the TV. We love having the pictures showing big size on the television every 30 seconds.

I'm happy to say Goggle has worked out all off the kinks such as conection dropping and bad latency. I use this chromecast mostly for music streaming to my TV as well as the occasional Netflix binge. Works like a charm.

My old Apple device from 8 years ago no longer supported YouTube which I always watch in the bedroom . I was told this was a great solution . Well it doesn’t have a remote control you have to use your phone . Also it has very hard time of connecting . I fight it more times just for it to connect and sometimes when it does it cuts off minutes in . Very frustrating I replaced it with a firestick 3 months later . Not recommended for me .
