Here are some other things you can do with Chromecast:
- You can create an audio group for your Chromecast, Google/Nest speakers and displays, or speakers with Chromecast built-in together for synchronous audio throughout the home.
- If you have a Google/Nest speaker or display or use Google Assistant on your phone/tablet, you can control your Chromecast with just voice commands.
- Turning Chromecast on/off with voice commands using Google Assistant is also possible if your TV supports High Definition Multimedia Interface — Consumer Electronics Control.
- If you are using an Android device, you can use the 'Cast my Screen' feature which mirrors what's on your phone to Chromecast.
