Abrupt disconnections of your Chromecast from the Wi-Fi network can be caused by several factors. We recommend checking some things that may help you with the issue:
- Weak or congested networks. Removing some of your connected devices may help relieve congestion.
- Check for possible sources of interference such as microwave ovens, refrigerators or other equipment.
- If you have a dual band router, try setting up Chromecast on either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands and see which band is more stable.
- If your Chromecast is still having the same issue, you may factory reset your Chromecast from the Home App or from the Chromecast device directly. Please see instructions on how to factory reset your Chromecast here: https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/6254654
