Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.There are many apps compatible with the Chromecast and there will usually be a corresponding icon with the related apps to let you know that you can stream to the Chromecast. It does come with an AC adapter which is necessary to use if the HDMI port used doesn't power the Chromecast. (many don't) This isn't necessarily a problem unless the TV is far from an open outlet plug. You are also able to "assign" the Chromecast to the TV by giving it a particular name which is done during the setup process. This is helpful should you happen to get multiple devices of this kind.
