It cast an image from your computer to the T.V. when you are on the internet and using Google Chrome. It does not cast an image of anything else one might have on your computer screen. In other words, it's great if you are using Google Chrome and have an active internet connection. Otherwise, it is ineffective for other items saved on your hard drive or to cast a DVD to the T.V. .
