Great way to watch video

Chromecast is becoming a standard for watching video on a TV. There are many Chromecast enabled apps and the Chromium web browser has casting capabilities built-in. Best yet, Chromeast enabled apps are available for IPhones too. It integrates perfectly with my Google Home devices so that I can control the Chromecast with voice commands.

Great way to upgrade an old TV

Support for CEC control from your phone makes it easy to just use your TV remote for control of both your TV and the media playing if your TV supports HDMI-CEC and has the right buttons on the remote. This also makes it possible to use Google Assistant to turn the TV on/off. I use this with an Insignia 40" with HDMI-CEC.
