Glitchy and temperamental

Not sure if the issue is solely with the chromecast but it will be connected and then drop and not be able to be found in google home. Very frustrating. Great when it works.

Oculus is not officially compatible with Chromecast devices. It may or may not work. With that being said, while using an Oculus device on a compatible Android phone, you may be able to mirror the phone's display to show at the same time on your Chromecast.
There could be several reasons that can affect the performance and connectivity of your Chromecast and we’d like to rule out the possibility of your Wi-Fi connection being the cause of this issue. We suggest trying the simple steps below:
- Check for possible interference. Appliances like your microwave oven, refrigerator or even your neighbors’ Wi-Fi network may cause interference with your Chromecast.
- Check for possible congestion. Removing some of your connected devices may help relieve some bandwidth space and you may check if your experience will improve.
- Ensure that your Chromecast is in a line of sight with your Wi-Fi router to get the best signal strength and Wi-Fi coverage.
- If you have a dual band router, try setting up your Chromecast on either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands and see which band is more stable.
- Restart your Chromecast and your Wi-Fi router. Unplugged the devices from the power outlet. Leave them unplugged for at least a minute before plugging them back in.

Although there is a bit of a lag between what’s casted and the actual gameplay, it does its job. It also doesn’t seem to do well with lighting when the gameplay has dark surroundings. It’s difficult to really see what the player is seeing as it appears too dark on the screen when casted. (Example: Affected The Manor)

The Google chromecast units are a must. Two of my TVs can be turned on with voice activation when you pair the chromecast with a Google Home assistant unit. Sound and image quality are great. Love to be able to turn my not so smart televisions into something more functional.
