Unfortunately there in-lies the problem, not every app supports stream casting especially from a computer and there isn't an easy way to just stream your desktop or home screen (at least from an Apple Device). If you're an android/google home I am certain it would do great for you.

I purchased an ethernet adaptor for this model, but with stadia dropping soon and the ultra having 4k and ethernet connection built in that model feels like the better option at this point tbh

Since I have a 14 month old daughter i like to keep her engaged in different activities. This device paired with my google assistant allows me to speak various commands to show different content on the tv without having to steam it from my cell phone.

My old Apple device from 8 years ago no longer supported YouTube which I always watch in the bedroom . I was told this was a great solution . Well it doesn’t have a remote control you have to use your phone . Also it has very hard time of connecting . I fight it more times just for it to connect and sometimes when it does it cuts off minutes in . Very frustrating I replaced it with a firestick 3 months later . Not recommended for me .

Do not (and did NOT want a smart TV) so this provides additional functionality. Using to case from a chromebook. Simple to use. ONLY problem was loss of signal. I have added an UDMI extension cable (3 ft) so the chromecast does not sit behind the TV and no loss of signal

Its a shame I can't get it to play spotify but being able to cast video from streaming sites and youtube makes it well worth it over buying a new smart tv. That being said this is relatively useless if you already have a smart tv.
