Buying this chromecast saved me loads of money. I can cast my phone screen to the tv. It saved me from buying a ipad/tablet to watch my workout videos that wouldn't play on my older ipad.

Did not like that everything had to be streamed from my device. Prefer roku much better because Netflix, hulu and more is available on the device which gives your household access to movies if your phone or tablet is not available

As I currently do not have a smart tv in my living room, this was a great investment to watch other forms of media on. *this version is not 4k but one is also offered.

Best thing ever invented. I use this to cast my Netflix, Redbox, and Hulu from an app on my phone to my tv. I have one for each tv in my house. The only issue I've come across is that sometimes they need to be rebooted. They lose the internet connection and need to be rebooted to find it. This happens maybe once a week.

Love the easiness of the chromecast, turns any TV into smart, can teach anyone how to use it from their phones and tablets. This 2nd generation adds the 5 ghz Wi-Fi which helps stream faster too.

Love this little device. The reason why it dropped a star is because for some reason, whenever I stream Disney+, whether it be from my phone or tablet, the audio skips every few seconds for the entire movie. I'm not sure if this is a Google issue or a Disney issue. Casts fine with all other apps!

This was a good upgrade to the original. Main difference is that it supports the faster 5 GHz wifi so you have a strong/faster connection to your router.

Got this to upgrade my old chromecast. Love the ability to cast to my monitor from my phone, or any other google home device. Great user experience when integrated with a google home.

I bought this for my step dad for Father's Day. He loves it. He can cast anything from his phone up to the bigger screen of his television. And they are going to take it when they go camping so they can see the photos he took and delete photos before the inevitable slide show for us when they get back. :-)

Got this to cast with the oculus quest and it performs the job admirably. Haven’t used it for much else but it connects quickly and displays a clean image with a quarter second delay.

No big problem to connect it, you have to download google home, it isn't the easiest thing I have set up and could be a little more straight forward. Would be nice to have a remote, I can not seem to get Alexia to control it but I don't know if she is supposed to be able to

This is better than any smart TV, because you manage the apps on your phone or tablet through an app store. Smart TVs don't update as well and the interfaces aren't the best to work with a tv remote.

Bought to cast from my Iphone to TV to access HBO Max. Worked great. Not a fan of casting but this works just fine. Price went down about a week after I purchased but oh well; timing is everything.

I use the Plex app on my iPad and even though I have a Smart TV, Plex could not send the image to my TV. The Chromecast solves the problem as the Flex app can communicate with the Chromecast and I can watch my Plex videos.

Bought this to cast videos to our tv and this does a great job. It also works well with our google home minis to control tv content with the exception of Hulu which is a bit glitchy through google home.

I have had the original for years and saw a deal on this new version as a two pack. Picked it up for another tv in the house and one for my parents. Great device with worlds of options even through my iPhone for playback.

I got this first and liked it but then not long after i bought a bigger and better tv so i then got the 4k version and now use this on another TV in my home.

WE love chromecast. this is our fourth, i think. We have two in our house. The model works great. barely have any issues. We use these daily, because my internet comes with channel options to stream.
