I have to be realistic that this is very cheap and outdated tech. I've had mine for a year and like it but I should have gotten the newer generation to begin with.

Added unit to Sony display that did not have app capabilities. Purchased on sale for under $30. Great addition as we now have HBO Max without purchasing another large display.

I had been using my son's chromecast which he will be taking back to college with him. I am so happy to have my own and Best Buy made it very easy to do the car pick-up during this pandemic.

Bought as a gift for my mother, because her older flatscreen doesn’t support the Disney app. She loves it for her ability To access that app as well as cast programming from her smartphone.

I picked this up on line checking out, did not know exactly what to do with it, must have Internet not just steam from phone. Well once Internet was good, I use this all the time

It is very helpful to cast your mobile media to your tv. All tv will not have all new app support however it helps me to cast YouTube media to TV. It controlled by google home as well.

Love my Chromecast. Works great with older tv models that are not smart tvs. I had the old Chromecast forever but HDMI finally broke due to the design but this new one is designed way better.

Bought this item thinking it would be just as easy to setup as a Roku ...not. Why can they not just put instructions in the box? Can not move from tv in bedroom to tv in living room easily. Roku you can just unplug and move no problem not this one.

I love chromecast - finally decided to upgrade since I had the original model. It is so easy to cast from the various streaming platforms straight to my projector. Just plug and play.

I am so glad that I bought this product for myself. I was trying to stop using cables to hook up my laptop to my hd television. This product pretty much eliminated me having to do the connecting of a bunch of cables.

Overall I like them. I have them in most tv’s of the house. Works well with google home system. I gave the Chromecast 4 stars bc I occasionally find myself wishing they done more or were more like the apple tv’s. But if streaming onto the tv from your phone is what you’re wanting, it’ll work nicely.

I had received a Ghome Mini for free from a promotion and wanted to see how it integrates with chromcast as I already have Echos set up in my house already. It's really not much different besides having YouTube -

My old insignia t.v was literally used just for dvd’s For my daughters. Now they can watch Netflix and whatever else they please. No complains and love the quick responsiveness from my google home to my chromcast.

Perfect for casting from an oculus, since you don’t need to mirror from your phone. Slight lag in display/audio (0.5s), but easily remedied with earphones for the oculus user.

Google Chromecast works exactly as it said it would. I use it with Youtube TV. No more high price cable or satellite bills thanks to this little gadget. I didn't need the more expensive one. This one works just fine.

Got this chromecast for a tv that doesn't have Chromecast built-in and works flawlessly. Set-up was a bit confusing at first but manage to get it running in 10 minutes.

Checked all the boxes we wanted, (no more messing with hdmi chords and allowed us to cast our oculus quest to the screen for parties). Setup took longer than I would have liked, I’d have preferred the option to not link it to my google account nor name it as we only have 1.

Great purchase at a great price. I look for this item everywhere an it was way expensive but wit best buy I get a great deal. Cant' wait to keep purchasing from Best Buy.

Great for static pictures, but when streaming the audio clips and the video is a little jerky. The mobile phone or tablet has to be very close to the unit to get the best performance. The jerky video and audio clipping gets worse the further away you are from the TV.

Not all the streaming services are on my smart TV. I bought a Chromecast so I could watch the shows that were exclusive to a service. I've only tried CBSAllAccess, but it works great for that.
