Everything plays great sound quality from the streaming apps, but if playing a video from a web browser the volume is way low on the TV with crackling in the audio.

- Congested networks. Removing some of your connected devices may help relieve congestion.
- If you have a dual band router, try setting up your Chromecast on either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands and see which band is more stable. Make sure that the set up device is on the same network as the Chromecast.
If you're not using Chrome to cast content, we recommend downloading it and using it to cast. If you're using your Chrome web browser make sure that it has the latest update. To do that you need to:
- Open Chrome on your laptop
- At the top right, click More (3 dots).
- Click Update Google Chrome. If you can't find this button, you're on the latest version.
- Click Relaunch.
- If you’re using a mobile web browser make sure that it also has the latest update.

I wish I had known that you cannot set it up with the device that you're using as a hotspot the initial time it took to setup would have been shortened. You need an additional device. But easy enough to setup with additional device.

I thought I could cast anything on my phone to the TV through this but that is not the case. Only can cast whatever apps allow google to integrate accounts with (ex: Disney Plus).

It works great without any hiccups with a decent WiFi router (N or higher).

I didn't know you need to set it up with your gmail account. This is the only thing i don't like. The remote control is your cell phone, so be mindful of this when you purchase.

It nice for quick things to cast. Also it the network is slow you'll have choppy video. get them on sell cause you can do lot more now with them before. Don't buy at full price.

I got on a package Nest deal and needed for a Udemy course I purchased to view on my TV. So my use is limited and that is why I have it 4 stars. Yes it works well.
