The price was competitive. The chromecast worked without any issues. It is connected to surround sound receiver and used to show movies on television.

Got this to try out streaming from phone. I purhcased this along with a Fire Stick and Apple TV. I would go with the Fire Stick. Lack of remote for this device wasn't ideal.

I needed a way to access HBO Max since not available through ROKU. Plugged in Chromecast and my iPhone connected easily. Watching movies within minutes

I wasn’t aware that this was the newer generation until I brought it home. These are great to pair with the Google Home devices because you’re able to control your TV through them.

When I was trying to decide which smart home platform to use, Google Home or Alexa, I bought this Chromecast. To be honest, I tried one of these before over a year ago and didn’t like it then and don’t like it now. First off, I personally think the design is dorky. It’s round and just hangs there, what a goofy design. Second, the setup process is a pain. Not hard or difficult, just a pain. Third, it just doesn’t work that well. The casting part requires a very strong internet signal to cast a PowerPoint presentation on your laptop to a big screen tv. Just not a big fan of this and cannot bring myself to recommend it.

Not sure why I waited so long to buy one of these. I had two older tvs to where this was the perfect set up. Love the ability to cast my screen.

I had a first-generation model that finally quit connecting after a few years of Bluetooth phone software updates. The latest version works perfectly!

I have different TVs and most them are smart TVs, but it take a long time to connect to the wifi. Google Chrome is the one you can depend on.

This device works great to cast Netflix to my tv. It also works well to cast just about anything (Youtube, pictures, newscasts, etc). I highly recommend this!

I love my chromecast! It allows me to stream content directly from my phone to my television. It's such a useful streamimg device!

Works smoothly for casting from Surface Pro 3 laptop. Good solution. A few live-stream events have audio glitches but I think that's them and not the device.

Google chromecast is an excellent way to make a smart tv out of a standard tv - just be confident in your wifi connection, because it can get dicey. Upgrade to the latest version with a lan port for absolute connectivity.

This was a great update to the original model I had. I can't wait for their latest display as well. Chromecasting changed my lift... for the better!!

Got this for grandma, mainly for showing her our pictures on our android phones on her tv so she could see them better. Also works for our wayward apple family members.

This is my third Chromecast. I bought #3 for travel. Every flat screen TV in hotel rooms has a USB port so I can stream TV from my phone wherever I am.

It is an amazing small device for this lower price. We like to use it to cast from a small smartphone with a small screen to a huge TV screen.

I pick up HBO go & Netflix at the shore, which is nice cause we don’t have premium channels there. We do have premium at home so that is why we can see it at the shore.

This is my second Chromecast purchase. Chose it over Apple TV and I have no regrets. Pros: 1. Cast any content from any phone onto your TV 2. Plug and play Cons: 1. None!
