    If your gonna buy a chromecast just go ahead and buy this one, the Ultra. It has a better wifi reception than the regular Chromecast. Also buy an HDMI extender in order to position your Chromecast Ultra further away from the heat of your tv, which can shorten its life and cause wifi signal interference. Also you'll be set for when you upgrade your tv to a 4k screen ;)

    Picture quality is great, but the marketing is VERY deceiving. The unit works as designed, but states you can stream from several different sites, but it doesn't actually have any applications like a Roku, so it is NOT a stand alone as desired. We have Roku which works without having to use our phone or tablet.
