I'm happy with the Chromcast so far. I use it for Hulu streaming and HBO and have had no issues. I will likely be adding the Hulu subscription shortly, as the cable/dish providers continue to raise prices. It's always worked when I've used it, have never had to reboot or reconnect to wifi, which is more than I can say for my tv or bluray player. I'd give it 5 stars if I were using it more.

I am using it with a wifi extender which isn't the best way to connect to it...but still works great for me. I would recommend the HD device since most tvs are high def. I had the first generation and loved it so I got this one since the USPS lost my old one in the mail. But I am happy with the device even thought I bought it for myself as a birthday gift.

Good unit, but be careful

The unit works as designed, but states you can stream from several different sites, but it doesn't actually have any applications like a Roku, so it is NOT a stand alone as desired. We have Roku which works without having to use our phone or tablet.
