Great for casting. No audio when cast full desktop

Great device! Works well even though bandwidth is not enough. Only negative is that the power source has to be plugged to wall socket and not the TV like the original version.

My biggest problem with the original chromecast was the wifi connection wasn't the best at times. Streaming would stutter or stop at times. Now with the RJ45 connection, it's wired to the router and the streaming is a lot better. I just wish it had this option at the beginning.

purchased this to watch youtube & vudu in hotel on vacation. quickly realized this does not work with most hotel wifi where you have to confirm via webpage to access network. through some searching online figure out that a Windows 10 laptop can be setup to act as mobile hotspot, so I was able to connect laptop to hotel network and then turn on the hotspot for Chromecast to connect through. a little cumbersome but it worked.

4k contents works with this. easy to fit in back of TV.

If you don't care much about pixels and screen resolution, you could buy a regular chromecast and save a few bucks. But if you're like me and can easily tell the difference between 1080p and 4K....this is for you.

The chrome cast works superb linked with my Google Home

i want to connect my i pad but it didn't work now i just use with my galaxy phone

I use this to cast from my computer, phone, tablet, etc. I stream a lot of shows from my computer, so if you use your computer for shows and movies that aren't available on apps then this is perfect for you.

Not only because it gives you the power to cast anything to the TV you have the device plugged in, from the computer to your phone, but also you can turn it ON and OFF via voice thru Google home. I have 3, two plus, one regular and one for sound only.

I wondered whether this would be a good investment to replace my older Chromecast device and I have to say that I've noticed no latency whatsoever casting movies and tons of YouTube videos from my Android phone to a 1080 tv.

I could not get it to operate in wired mode right. It kept on buffering most of the time on youtube, but when I switched to wireless, it works a lot better. Since I did buy it expecting wired mode to be faster - I took one star off. Given that even on a weak wireless signal it still works pretty well, it deserves 4 stars

Don't know whose hairbrained idea was to create a streaming device that does not come with a remote control of course I own a smartphone that I could use to control this device but why in the world would I want to buy yourself a fire TV stick much better

Works perfect for casting my phone on to my T.V!!!

The Chromecast turned my 8-year-old Sony Bravia 55 inch TV back to a smart TV. I use an iphone to receive the streaming content, and then "cast" that content to the TV. Thinking of cutting the cable box cord.

You can def tell the difference on the 4k streaming!

Brings connectivity and features from phone and laptop to your tv. I highly recommend this for people looking to cast their screens to a tv. Features Netflix and other video streaming apps, this will provide users with everything they could need.

Worked well! Didn't have any issues when using with my iPhone or computer. Got it specifically to use with YoutubeTV. Worked well but didn't like the service itself (sports @30fps is hideous). I returned the chromecast because I don't really need it otherwise.
