This is the latest generation of the chromecast. I have noticed the product is faster than the last one with some really cool features. The best feature is the Ethernet connection when Wi-Fi signal is weak. Great product.

I tried this out with some other streaming options. It was ok, but I prefered the Fire stick over this. Not having a remote is kind a draw back for this item.

I ordered this mailed to me with 2 years of Geek squad support. I am still in the process of getting this installed to my “Smart TV”... No rush during COVID19 time at home

It worked fine for nearly two years, but in the last week it will flicker and then cut out completely. It will come back online after about 5 minutes, but after about an hour it will have the same problem. This has happened six times in the past week. This is the more expensive HD version. I have another standard unit that I bought at the same time and use on a different TV and it still functions perfectly. I've checked the power strip, the TV and the Wifi and they are all working fine. The issue must be the unit itself.

I get intimidated by all of the set up but Google chromecast HD was very intuitive. AT times there are glitches where the television program gets disconnected but its hard to tell if that is the TV app or the chromecast

I am 99% happy with this chromecast ULTRA, everything is great!! 1 issue I didn't like was having to connect the router to the power adapter in order to handle 4K. Hopefully in the near future it will be a 4k wireless.

Have a lake house in a rural area with poor tv service. Have excellent xfinity service in Nashville. Use the chrome cast device on large tv at lake. Works great!!!

Picked this up so I could cast from my tablet to our living room TV. Works beautifully. Details matter, and I love how the connector is magnetized to connect to the Chromecast so it's not dangling from a length of wire.

The product is very good for the price. It’s not as well developed as the Apple TV. However if you don’t need all those capabilities like shows and you have alternate products like a PlayStation, Where you can play Netflix and Amazon video. This is fine

There's a line across the screen for some reason. Maybe it's app specific. There is no remote, so you have to use your phone to use the Chromecast, otherwise, it is useless. I couldn't use my Bluetooth headphones. The Apple TV is so much better than this Chromecast. I guess that's why the Chromecast is so much cheaper. It doesn't meet my expectations, so I am returning it ASAP. Oh, and when I removed the Chromecast after I trying it, it was seriously overheating, so that sucked too. To be fair, I did not try other apps like Netflix or YouTube.

I love using the Ultra on my 4K TV! The only issue that I have had so far is that on a very rare occasion the pictures go completely inverted in their colors. I have to reboot the device and it'll work perfectly for several more weeks before glitching out again.

This is my third chrome cast, but first time with the new model. The Ultra requires a dedicated power supply but the device works exactly as it always has. It is nice to take advantage of the 5mhz WiFI signal versus the old chrome cast only working on 2.4.

I made the switch from cable TV to all internet based services and the Chomecast has been great. While it’s not the greatest match, I’m having good luck so far running everything off an older iPad.

Yes you could control your streaming with your voice. Play or pause, even forwarding your streaming with a voice command. If you are an Android user, you should get the chromecast.

the video and audio quality was excellent works well with my TV and not so expensive. just one problem only functioned for about 6 months.

Besides the 4K capabilities, this device is useless if you have a smart TV. I have an LG 4K Smart TV, and can do nearly everything the chromecast allowed me to do, including screencast from any smart device.

I use it in my business to transmit videos from the app of my cable service provider, also to send videos from the pc to the tv

Easy way to turn your average tv into a smart tv! No issues for installation. Great way to watch movies and use other apps on your tv.

I have owned every version of the Google Chromecast. This is the best one because of the Ethernet plug. I do not own a 4K tv, but when I do get one I will be able to stream to it.

This is definitely an upgrade compared to the first version we had. This Chromecast works well from phone or laptop, but cannot cast from Chromebook (which is ridiculous!). Also wish that it could be controlled with TV remote like a Roku would.
