When i bought it I was told I could use amazon prime video on it, which it turned out not to be the case. But for other google features it seemed to work perfectly fine.

Amazon Prime Video app on your smart device is compatible with Chromecast Ultra. In the Amazon Prime Video app, there should be a cast icon, you can then choose Chromecast to cast to your TV.
If you don't see the cast icon, updating your Amazon Prime Video app to its latest version may resolve the issue. If it doesn't, you may have to contact the app's developer for troubleshooting.

I would return it but my return period has expired. I have an older Chromecast, a ROKU, and the Chromecast Ultra. If you have Sling and AirTV, it won't play your over the air channels or recordings.

Thought it worked like a Roku or FireStick but it does not have an app with a Home Screen. I did not want to download a bunch of streaming apps on my phone. The main reason I got it was it functions with my nest cameras and wanted to use google assistant for voice commands. Really wish it had a homepage function on it. I use my PS4 or Roku. Also, got it to avoid using console for streaming because it heats up my room. I had high hopes. Sad it didn’t work out the way I thought. :/

I don't use it for anything but casting from my mobile devices. I still use my smart TV apps instead. Why does it not come with a remote? It's so hard to use without a remote. I definitely prefer firestick over this if using apps.

After months of seeing someone hacking into my Hulu account we figured they came through this device. My phone tells me something is streaming so I can stop it.

It is nice to have the option to send things from my tablet to the TV, but I find I don't use it often. Apps that are available are also on other devices so I tend to use those more often. Not bad for the price though.
