It works well but I was disappointed that I could not use it on older, lower resolution TVs. Unless you need the 4k save a few bucks and buy the next model down.

Was easy to setup and connect to Wifi / Ethernet cable. However, just a few minutes into watching, the entire screen showed a blue tint. Every person on the screen had a blue face. All original colors showed differently with a blue filter. The screen orientation was also out of whack - the screen has shifted slightly to the right. The missing piece of right end screen (about 2 in wide) is now on the left end. I have rebooted the Ultra and problem came back in about 2 minutes of viewing. The blue tint keeps coming back no matter what I try. I have tried rebooting the Ultra through the App, pulled the HDMI cable off, pulled the power cable off in many different sequences. The blue tint won't go away. Google, do you have a fix?

I have had a little trouble with the 4k, it wont stay connected it will work one day and then next will not be able to cast unless I unplug it and reset it

Eh... it is an alright device, but with tablets laptops and smart TVs it kind of seemed like money spent that did not have to be.. if you do not own a smart tv than this would work.

It's complicated to me. You need to have the apps on your phone and then cast them to the chrome cast. I have a few fire sticks also, they are much easier to use.

I bought the Ultra to replace my venerable 1st gen Chromecast, because I was tired of watching it constantly buffering during games on MLB.tv. Now, instead of the annoying swirlie, the Ultra just stops casting and returns to the default screen without warning. It will do that several times during a baseball game. Otherwise, I don’t notice any particular performance change over the old one. I plan to just run an HDMI cable from my iPhone, so I can spend more time cussing bad umpires and less time cussing bad gear.

I have connected my chromecast to my receiver inside a cabinet. Everything works fine, except in the middle of the movie, if I pause or stop, it does not respond. It is little slow and sloppy.

Not sure the real value in the Chromecast 4K. You can buy a FireStick for half the price as they go onsale often. The chromecast forces you to use a secondary source like an Andriod phone to utilize any of the functions. If you want to view the view feed from a Nest Camera on the Chromecast it's worthless. You have atleast a 10 second delay casting to the device. Again wouldn't recomend wasting money on this product when there are so many better options.

I bough this and it’s ok for the price, good if you have a 4K tv if not buy the regular cheaper chrome cast

Fun at first then we never used it again. We forget we have it. Best for handicapped who may need voice command capabilities.

Not a good replacement for Roku. Not everything allows you to stream it. Chromecast TV much better options. Hope this helps

I liked this but what wasn't so great was having to control it through my phone. I didn't like having to go back and forth on my phone.

the doggle works great - some of the casted video is not as clear is it could be (was expected to be) and there is a bit of Audio lag (almost 1/2 a second)

Have had Roku's and Fire TVs. Got this on sale and hated it within minutes. Returned it for the 4K Fire TV.

The packaging looks great but the actual setup is a bit difficult and limiting since you have to use the same wifi after set up to use the item and it sometimes hangs up.

Still needing a lot of development to become a worthwhile device, this product remains on the list of needing further development. Still better than others.

Seems great and super easy to use, but unfortunately had to return due to no connection with Xfinity service. Went with Roku and everything works great

We have a wall mounted TV so it hangs off a bit, which is fine, but has caused it to get loose over time. Overall, it does what it's suppose to.

This can be improved a lot. Can't directly cast my photos and videos from iPhone. Youtube casting is pretty easy but not with other apps and iPhone photos and videos.

Part of smart home, just wish it would change channels, etc, simply turns the tv on/off right now, simple streaming. Work in progress I guess.
