Easy to Setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Getting the Chromecast Ultra setup to my Google Home network was a breeze. I plugged the unit into the HDMI port on my TV and plugged the microusb cable into a wall outlet and as soon as I opened Google Home it was a breeze to connect. One recommendation I would make is that you do not use the USB port on the monitor or TV to drive the power as most TVs and Monitors do not have a consistent power source to drive enough power for it - it will work, but you may get a broken connection from time to time.

Very fast compared to my original Chromecaset

This newer, updated version is SO much faster and does not have any issues casting from my phone anymore. So glad I bought it!

Chromecast--fantastic!!

Have cast many films now from Xfinity, N'flix, PBS, Disney+ & youtube, to the TV with this via wifi! Love it. Really great quality. (Hot tip: During set up, the Chromecast ID will show on the TV screen, which you then confirm on your device!) Did find this helpful in setting up w/ my iPhone: https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/2998456 Especially the interactive guide screens! :D Totally satisfied with it.

Best solution for youtube and netflix 4k!

Some of our local independent movie theaters use services that don't have apps for our Roku. Therefore, I purchased this device so I can purchase a movie from our Mac, and then cast it to Chromecast for viewing on our TV. Works perfectly! Setup was quite easy, and elegant in an Apple sort of way. This is the first Google device I've bought, so I didn't know what to expect.
