Easy to connect, works great and fast, not hard getting it together

Bought this to play YouTube TV on our 4K tv and cancel cable. Video quality is amazing and YTTV works great as a replacement to cable. If I were to make one suggestion it would be to include a remote controller so I can change channels easily. An alternate would be to allow my tv remote to do the same via HDMI controller standard or voice control. Controlling via iPhone app is not the best experience but could be with some practice and getting used to.

I bought it for a gift but in order to have the full 4k you need to install the chromecast thru ethernet

Although a little pricey the streaming quality is smooth with little to no lag. True 4K streaming at its finest

Very simple to set up. However you need a high capacity router to get the most from this Chromecast, remember you are streaming 4K

This device works great for adding Chromecast capability to TVS that lack that option. I recently purchased a new Samsung smart TV, but would not have bought that TV without this accessory (Samsung only supports their own "Mirror Cast", which is not very useful). All you need for this is an available HDMI connector on your TV, a home network (you can use wired or wifi), and an A/C power outlet. The power connection is my only complaint about this product. The device itself is small, very light, an simply hangs from the TV HDMI connection. But the power connector is huge and the prongs are oriented such that the connector will always be at right angles to any extension cord connector. If you power connection is not behind the TV, you will have no problem. In my case, I have an extension cord routed behind my TV (to hide the wires). The connector is large enough that the best I could do was to have the back of the TV actually leaning on the connector. This is after using 2"x4" under my mount to provide an additional 1.5 inches of space behind my TV.

Got this to put on my non-smart tv and to use along with google home. So far we love it! I ended up getting another to put on my Samsung SmartTV since HuluLive isn’t available on Samsung yet.

Works as you would expect it to. 4k is a plus. Was not impressed with the extra 35 dollar price swing for the 4k

Great product and excellent picture quality. It would have been even better if it came with a remote and online menu browsing capability like Roku.

Good device but MY Roku is better since have remote, Google need to add a remote, that device is for watch tv so you need a remote, I dont like to use my phone for everything even at home

I love the ease in navigating through this as well as the high quality streaming options it allows me to access.

I have used other streaming devices such as a FireTV before I tried this. It does work well, but having to use my Android device to cast took some getting used to. Once over that small hurdle, it works great. It works well with my home automation as well. I have it integrated with a Google Home Mini, Nest Camera, and smart outlet. I can turn the tv on and off, pause and play, and give commands by voice and it works great.

I have multiple units Roku ultra HD, Amazon stick, chromecast 1 gen. So far that one get maximum for streaming speed and picture quality if connected via LAN cable. In addition for travel as example WiFi connection get very good result with 5mb/sec speed in my experience. I can mirror content from my android phone(tablet )screen with no delay on synch problem.

This device has a fast speed on casting. However, it becomes warm when loading heavy content.
