I literally set this up in one minute. I use a LAN cable plugged into the reuter and the device and that makes it a lot easier. Google went far in making this easy to operate. It worked on my android mobile phone and iPads.

It was super easy to set up, and I really like the Google Chromecast functionality. Definitely useful to have the capability to use the Google Home app to connect the Chromecast + Google Home speaker so you can cast by voice command, and even set the volume right from your phone - perfect for a couch potato like myself who hates looking for the remote all the time!

I have been using Google Chrome, and the Chromecast from the very beginning of the products release. So the Ultra version is as top notch as all the other Google products we own.

East to use streaming media player. Excellent picture quality.

This device is super useful! I am able to connect laptops and phones to my television. It helps me with listening to my online college lectures without having a laptop on my lap.

This is a great step from from the original chromecast. It's faster, and provides 4k when available.

Got the ultra for $30, which is even less then the normal one. It's much faster, and 4k is great.

We got this for a unique use, to supplement a 4K TV that already has a Chromecast built in. As best I can tell, the Chromecast built in the TV doesn't save passwords from wifi networks after it connects to another network. We have seperate staff and student wifi networks with certain devices on different networks. With two Chromecasts teachers can stream to one, and the students can stream to the other.

The product is really good for what it is. It's pretty quick and has a pretty respectable app selection to cast through directly from the apps. The only downside is you're paying over double the price of the normal product to have a device that is slightly faster and does 4k resolution. That's part of trying to be close to cutting edge technology though. Besides the price being slightly high in my opinion it is a really good product.

I bought originally to work with my new laptop since it has miracast. However after purchased this item I really enjoyed the video, and movies. My television in my office is not a Smart TV so this really worked well. I went all the way after this and purchased Google Home, and other home automation items. It worked very well telling to Google Home to play of my Netflix and VUDU accounts. The picture was sharp and with not hesitation.

I upgraded from the Gen 1 Chromecast, and the Ultra obviously outperforms on every front. The ability to use Google Home to tell it to turn on and off the TV, and dictate what you'd like to watch, is so cool! The quality is excellent as long as you are using the Ethernet port (integrated into the power adapter.) I highly recommend if you are looking for an affordable way to improve your television experience.

Bought this to replace my older generation chromecast. It not only shows better image quality, but my Google mini is able to use it to play video for me with my voice only.

Great 4K, but disappointed by the smart phone app based remote and lack of integration ability with my Harmony remote system and lack of physical remote compatibility.

Easy install and set up. Love that we can use on all phones. Great product.
