Finally we have ethernet

It makes me feel warm inside knowing its not fighting for 2.4Ghz bandwidth. The processing power is definately a plus as well. I also have a regular Chromecast and you can def tell the difference.

Fast easy streaming

I've always used apple products with airplay, but recently decided to try out some google products. I find the technology is faster and offers more of the newer technologies like HDR and 4K. It's got me rethinking my future of brand choice. All apps are hosted on your existing tablet or phone, not the device. So it helps to have a dedicated tv tablet.

Great upgrade

The Chromecast Ultra is a great improvement over the original thumb stick version. With the 5g capability, it eliminates the issues the old version had with lag. The 4k looks amazing on my 4k tv. The Chromecast Ultra has more flexibility in options than a firestick or apple tv. Makes viewing pictures and videos a breeze for family gatherings.

My On-Demand Sidekick

My cable's on-demand service skipped 1 episode of a show I watch but no longer had recorded because the DVR I had before we moved belonged to a different cable company and had to be returned. Thankfully, the television network's app had the show on their app and I was able to Chromecast the show onto our tv with excellent picture quality and no lag in the streaming capability.

Competent platform

Set up didn't go as smoothly as I was expecting and casting was a little buggy. I don't know if that is content provider specific or not, though.
