This product has allowed me to keep my 6 yr old Plasma TV, which still works great, working together with my new Google assistant project. At the same time, I know that if I need to upgrade to a new $K TV, it will go with me. I haven't had it long enough to know what all it can do, but, hey, that's technology today.

This little product has made a big difference in my tv viewing pleasure. I can cast just about anything I want, from Spotify and CBS All Access (the main motivation for buying this) as well as other apps. I have a blast playing Youtube concert videos on my 55" tv with my full sound system. Excellent streaming quality.

I know everyone likes the Amazon fire stick. Well I love this thing. With an Ethernet connection it does not eat up any Wi-Fi.

I have the original chromecast and this version works a lot better than that version. The picture quailty on my 4K LG TV is great and using my Google Home to pause and play shows is a really nice feature. Even thought my TV has streaming apps built in I will use the Chromecast a lot because of the voice controls.

If your plannig on cutting the cord then this is a must buy. I got this cause I have a couple of TVS that dont have a set top box. Really trying to cut the cord but its harder then said then done. Had no issues with this product and have to say it is my favorite casting device. Has 4K, and has Ethernet compatibility and for the size = awesome.

I tried the 1080p Chromecast with my old HP 2408 monitors and it worked very well. But, the monitors are showing some aging so, I decided to upgrade to the Chromecast Ultra and purchased a Samsung Ultra screen to match. Loving the casting from my Smart Phone or the Lenovo Yoga 15 for music and movies, and direct DP for extended computer work.

Works just as it should. It's fast and looks nice on a 4k TV.

Great product and supports hdr. I do think android users have a little bit more fun with apps but iOS apps are steady growing

New for this model is the required outlet plug. No longer can you plug in through USB to power the Chromecast. There are a few times where connecting after watching YouTube or Netflix just won't work and requires a phone or tablet app closure. But, the 4K streaming is very respectable and when hooked up to a good receiver, the sound quality is superb. Better than the Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon variant by a mile.

I upgraded to the Ultra from a standard Chromecast and was surprised at the most in responsiveness and performance of the device even when not on a 4k tv.

Worked well for a tv out on my porch. Had some buffering with wireless but that could be my beriOn wireless. Purchased this actually to use with Fios app. Thinking Verizon sold these the app would work. It does not. Not for all stations. Use Pluto quite a bit and this seems to work well. Unit gets very hot. All and all though not bad for the price I paid for it.

I already had a smart Blu-ray player, but I wanted the google chrome-cast to pull up shows on my phone and send them to my TV screen. It works well. The quality of video is good. I use apps to cast because I have an iPhone, but my husband can do it directly from his phone (without any apps) because he has a Samsung smartphone.

Good upgrade to the original Chromecast, though, I don't have 4K TV to use it with yet. Disappointed that the power draw has increased to the point I can no longer use the TV USB port to power it. Addition of Ethernet is a positive.
