No competitors, Google is doing really, really good with its hardware division...

This is a great product ever since the first gen we have been using chromecast to cast all are movies and shows from are phones and family photos and videos to are TV and this new model can be connected to 5g or direct ethernet cable

Bought this for my daughter who was streaming Netflix on her small laptop. Easy setup and great picture quality. Made her "dumb" tv a little smarter. She can cast pretty much anything and more games are being released with cast feature. She loves it !!!

I got sick n tired of my cable provider being unable to make a plug n play cable TV box to just work. Averaged 1 1/2 hours on the phone with them “trouble shooting” the problem they promised over and over again that it “should” be working. Snip-snip cable gone. No more $200+ per month bundle that didn’t work. My TV’s have NEVER been this healthy before. Cell phone is my control center and I can turn the TV on after working all day watch TV again. Plenty of apps for stations and I pay for what I need/watch and it’s SIGNIFICANTLY, dare I say SIGNIFICANTLY, CHEAPER and more cost effective. I should’ve done it when it started, considering I was on the cable company’s books for over 18 years. No more set and forget because they forgot about me. They wanted to charge me $535 to cancel my “bundle”. Thanks for the 18 years of returned loyalty! Cya!!

This works great with my google home. Now I don’t have to touch a remote at all.

I finally made the move to cut the cable and chose YouTube TV. Felt to give its best chance I should give it the Chromcast Ultra. It was very easy to set up and has worked very well. Would I do it again — absolutely- why didn’t I do it last summer?

Works as advertised. 4K streaming will probably be more available in the future enhancing this products allure.

I bought this as an upgrade to my old won. I like that it Ultra HD ready. I use it for TV Youtube. I wish they would come out with a remote with it now that that Youtube has their own TV and Chromecast is casts it. I'm sure that will be next years model though.

If you are ready to let cable go, this is great device. If you want to show and mirror your phone, this will do it. Play music, this can stream it to tv. If you want a fireplace on tv hit Settings labs and fireplace in google play music desktop website

Being user of Google products just let me use my Chromecast without any problem.

Works as advertised, easy app integration. Android user, 2017 model Samsung TV.

This device is perfect to watch whatever we want as long as you have internet.

This Chromecast is faster and smoother than the older one. 4k plays really fast. But the downside is we need to keep it connected to our phone. That means you should keep the app in background on your phone. Apart from that it is one of the best to cast onto tv.

Zero issues with this unit since purchase. Looks glorious on my LG 55" OLED. =D

The Chromecast synced with the Google Home is the one of the best things ever.

Excellent upgrade from the standard Chromscast and worth the higher price. Mainly purchases to enable 4k streaming for Youtube and Netflix. My current sharp smart tv’s native streaming apps are not the best quality so this is a great purchase.

Overall this works good. I have 3 of these and perhaps one of them is not working properly. It will occasionally lose the network while all other devices are connected fine. When it works, it is great for casting all the different streaming services.

I use it to connect from my Android cell and from my laptop and I get a really clear connection to my TV. Easy to connect from either one. I also use it to stream videos from Youtube. I'm really happy with it, especially when I play music from my library.
