I have enjoyed the original Chromecast, but at times the stream would buffer, pause then play. The new Ultra Chromecast blows the old one away, crisp clear, no buffering of the stream. Simply Awesome!

I enjoyed this device with my whole family all day

It works just as advertised, very simple to use and stream. I have yet to use the 4k feature, but it as long as you have decent wifi or Ethernet you should be fine

I have more than a couple of ways to stream on my Smart TV I find the Chromecast Ultra to be easy, comprehensive and reliable. But I got to tell you as an electric hockey puck, it has a lot left to be desired.

I enjoyed being able to watch my programs on my TV instead of my iPad or phone

I use it mainly for Sling TV . I like it has the Ethernet connection and it allows a cast without gaps in video. Good for casting You Tube videos also . I had the first Chromecast and this is a big improvement over that one . It does cast videos in 4k quality .

Had the first generation Chromecast and upgraded to this model. Easy to set up and makes streaming videos from your phone and computer to your TV super easy!

We have a “Smart” TV, but it wasn’t smart enough because it’s 4 or 5 years old. Since we had subscribed to Hulu + Live, we needed a way to get it on the screen. This works perfectly.

Plays 4K Ultra HD videos and HDR looks really good quality videos, always plays in high resolution because of some wifi improvement, never stops while streaming any videos, better than any streaming devices.

The chromecast works seamlessly with my google home, my smart tv, and my sound system. I'm very glad I decided to upgrade to the Ultra to pair with my 4k tv. I love that it has ethernet connectivity!

Reliable and fast. Easy to use, I bought this to accommodate my HDprojector setup (for backyard movies, etc.) This works very well for video input in that outdoor scenario.

I really enjoy being able to seamlessly cast what is on my iPad to the tv. So family pictures, videos, movies, and other things can be shared during family visits.

I have used the Chromecast for many years easy to use very convenient never had any issues with it I like the convenience of using with my phone

Works really well for what it is. Stream videos by casting to the Chromecast even 4k. The only downside is the Dolby Atmos passthrough seems to work ok but doesn't register on a recover as Atmos.

Chromecast Ultra is great and relatively inexpensive. One thing I didn't like is that it is required to be plugged into an outlet based on the cords that came with it. This posed quite the eye sore as i have all of my other cables hidden within the wall and couldn't remedy that without taking the TV down and disconnecting all my wires moving furniture and re-running cords. The good news is it can be plugged in and powered into your TV's USB port, however you have to get your own USB cord, as this is connected to the power supply and can't be disconnected. Luckily I had extras laying around from old phones. However, the drawback to this is that you can only watch in 4K if the device is plugged into the wall. This isn't a huge deal for me because I don't own a 4K TV, but if I did I would imagine I'd be pretty bummed. All in all this is a good product and is relatively inexpensive.

Upgraded the rest of my system to 4k and the only thing remaining was the chromecast device, problem solved. Faster processing power, dedicated hardwire for network jack, and easy to pair function.

I Love the old one and this one should be great! i got it for a work party.

over the original. It can plug in with cramped conditions and is great for casting to your TV. I hardly use mine now though as I use a Roku instead as it's not phone dependent.

Easy to install, works well with cell phone as your remote...cell phone apps still function while casting. Be careful to check the chromecast as we notes out became hit do we are careful to unplug when TV is not in use.
