The ultra is better in every way. It's even better for standard HD screens because it's just faster. Think of it more just newest, fastest edition rather than 4k edition. Worth the extra

This item is good for non ios products. Not fully functional with Apple.

Google is a genius when it comes to their products and this is one of the best and easiest products out there to get your phone content to your TV.

Work as planned. Synchs faster than the previous version and works better than previous versions for HD content. Easy setup and integration with Google Home smart device control.

If you have a 4k TV and a google home, you can actually use this to turn your tv on and off. works great for moments when you don't have your remote. The screen casting is amazing as always

originally thought it would work well for streaming both pictures and video from from my Samsung Galaxy S8 plus. Pictures are fine but the video files start and stop. I guess only a hard wired connection will provide the transfer speed required for video. Good product but not for this application

I can't live without my Chromecast. It's excellent to be able to stream whatever you want. Worked out perfect for my basement family room

So much better than the standard HD Chromcast that I had several years ago. Easily connects my 4k OLED tv to any device...no need for Apple TV. Very easy to set up, and it connects lightning fast.

Simple to set up an mirrors your device - Other than mirroring my device I am not sure what the extra cost would suffice - Like not losing the remote but it is also would like a remote to use intstead of phone also

Chromecast has cool stuff that it does, like casting whatever I'm watching on the internet (through a third party app). The thing I don't like is that it doesn't have a home menu or a remote. I know for some this is a selling point, but for me to open my phone, find the app, search what I want, then cast, its waaaay more than I want to do. I'd like there to be a remote first off. And with the remote there should be a home screen to configure and discover apps like one would use the google home app, only NOT having to go through their device to get to the app. If you have multiple devices than obviously this would not be an issue. But since I use my phone it is for me.

Easy to use, so glad they added Hulu to the voice commands! Still having an issue however watching Netflix with subtitles on. It keeps crashing the device and tv :(

Easy to hook up and get started. Picked up my WiFi right away and we have had no problems. Very happy with the Google Chromecast and definitely recommend it!

I bought this hoping I could find a way to get cable to my extra room TV. Well you can't do that, but you can watch almost any other service on this. I recommend for a spare room.

We have had the much older model of google chrome-cast and glad that we decided to purchase this model. worth every penny especially when you can cast anything from your phone to the TV.

Google has put an emphasis on providing easy tools to allow you to use the internet to it's fullest. The Chromecast Ultra is simple plug and play with deep clarity in the picture and sound.

Works great. I have a 4K Samsung smart TV that I am using this device on . Streaming seems to be much more fluid than just streaming straight to the device. Picture and sound quality are great.

I had the first version of Chromecast which requires Chrome browser so this one is a great upgrade. It is a lot faster, doesn’t require Chrome browser and works smoothly.

So far so good with using my Google- Chromcast Ultra 4k player. The set up was very easy and we have an older TV and it works casting from my Iphone and Ipad.
