I love this new version of Google's ChromeCast. The ethernet hard-line capabilities and 4k + AC combo dramatically improve quality and performance, compared to previous model(s).

I upgraded from my original chromecast to chromecast ultra. I wanted to be able to watch 4k movies. I ended up casting more youtube and facebook videos than movies and its portable, so if i go somewhere I take it with me and I have my whole video collection no matter where i go. Its great!

Super simple to set up No glitches after a month of use Excellent streaming quality. Totally worth paying more for the Ultra 4K version!

The Google Chromecast Ultra is a small package with BIG performance. It is capable of streaming 4K HDR video and Dolby Digital Plus (5.1) audio using either WiFi or an Ethernet connection. The HDMI cable is short so it will hide behind your display or in my case I hooked it directly to my Denon AVR HDMI input. To control the device you will need the Google Home app (free) on your phone or tablet. Completely satisfied.

I've been into the Google ecosystem forever, so the Chromecast is great for streaming from my Pixel XL smartphone, Chromebook Pixel, Pixel C tablet, or any device with Chrome browser. I tend to cast podcasts, etc off Youtube as background noise rather than watch whatever is on cable.

This is way better than the other chromecasts. Its easy to set up and is ready for 4k. The best part is that you can use an Ethernet cable so streaming is seamless. I would recommend it.

I have two of these in my house. One for the living room which works great. And another in my media room which has some problems because it is casting from an area that is kind of far from the router even though it shows 3-4 bars it would drop or hang a lot when used in this room. Note, i am streaming 4k content. Other then this i love it.

I wanted a 4K casting device more simplycity and Google Chromecast Ultra was my choice. No disappointments and simple to cast from any device. It enhances normal HD to higher than 1080p. Would have given 5 star if little cheaper.

Excellent device for streaming 4k content from your phone, tablet or laptop. Very easy to use. Would be better if price was cheaper though.

The Chromecast is very easy to setup and use. Casting from a mobile device or a computer is very easy and reliable. Sound and Video quality is perfect

The Chromecast Ultra is quick and easy to set up. I used an Ethernet cable from my modem and would recommend that for anyone. You can quickly and easily cast from your phone, computer or tablet direct to the chromecast. I purchased this for use with YourTube TV. There is where we discovered the drawback. I had been using it on my phone. The next day I tried to show my wife how it works using my iPad. I could not cast from the iPad until I went into my phone and cast something then stopped casting. Hence the reason for the title of this review. I found the device to be cumbersome switching between devices for casting. My Roku actually works better for Netflix and Amazon Prime as well. However, despite that drawback the device is pretty amazing.

If you have a satellite tv subscription you know how painful it is whenever your reception is lost, etc. With this product, you can watch whatever you want on your tv by casting through your phone apps. 100% recommend. Easy setup and easy to use. Just follow instructions once you plug it into your tv, once setup, download your favorite TV channel apps or direct tv app and when you click on a show or movie, simply tap the screen icon in the corner and select the name you have your chrome cast during setup and voila. Your now watching tv again.

I purchased the ultra chromecast along with a smart TV and the set up was extremely simple. Connect to the HDMI port and Google walked me through the rest. I also purchased a google mini and now I'm able to do so much without lifting a finger. Again, really easy set up.

I got this to connect to our Sunbrite TV on the Rooftop deck. It is inside a water proof area so I am always connected. Wifi reaches the roof and casting from the phone has been seamless so far. I am also able to get Sling and NFL Sunday ticket as well. It's been awesome.

My smart TV (LG) didn't have an app for HBO Now. Even though it has an Apple TV app (and HBO Now is available through Apple TV), there was no way to get the app directly through my LG. Chromecast solved the problem and I now find myself using it just as often for Netflix, YouTube, Hulu etc even though those apps are already built into the TV. For the ease of use and the Ultra 4k playback, this is a great way to manage streaming services & entertainment. Plus, it makes casting from Chrome really easy (even video).

When I bought my 4k tv I didn't realize that most of the apps couldn't directly stream 4k. I already loved regular chromecast so when the ultra came out I figured I'd give it a shot. I love it! It brings the same ease of use as the regular chromecast to the 4k world.

I have a regular chromecast and i have a 4k tv so i decided to buy it. The 4k is nice but i dont think you would tell uneless your looking for it. The extra 30 or so bucks is not really worth it . If you have the money to get the 4k chromecast GET IT if you dont get the regular chromecast. As far as the set up on it . It's the same as the reg chromecast you use google home . Pretty easy just download google home , connect your chromecast to your tv and stuff then follow directions. Not to hard .

Had issues streaming Twitch with my old Chromecast, so I bought the new Chromecast Ultra and put it to the test. Works like a charm! I can stream from other apps too without any issue. Couldn't be happier!

Love the upgrade from the original Chromecast. Streaming is a lot faster with little buffering. The flexible cable used for attachment makes it easier to plug into the TV. Power cord has plenty of length. Definitely going to upgrade our Chromecast original.

I had a few issues with the old Chromecast, and all has been taken care of with the Chromecast Ultra. Much faster, easier to connect and better streaming services
