Chromecast has cool stuff that it does, like casting whatever I'm watching on the internet (through a third party app). The thing I don't like is that it doesn't have a home menu or a remote. I know for some this is a selling point, but for me to open my phone, find the app, search what I want, then cast, its waaaay more than I want to do. I'd like there to be a remote first off. And with the remote there should be a home screen to configure and discover apps like one would use the google home app, only NOT having to go through their device to get to the app. If you have multiple devices than obviously this would not be an issue. But since I use my phone it is for me.

Google has put an emphasis on providing easy tools to allow you to use the internet to it's fullest. The Chromecast Ultra is simple plug and play with deep clarity in the picture and sound.

I prefer this over the Amazon Firestick. Boot up is fast and the streaming is seamless as opposed to the Firestick. With Chromecast, I can cast from my phone, webpage, etc.

Works great. I have a 4K Samsung smart TV that I am using this device on . Streaming seems to be much more fluid than just streaming straight to the device. Picture and sound quality are great.

Good buy, not the UI you expect for the price tag, needs to level up

So simple to use and it does so much. Now I'm connected and streaming my bum off! How have I lived without this for so long? Get one today!

I bought this after owning both prior versions of the regular chrome cast. I figured since I upgraded my TV to 4k, time to take advantage of the Ultra 4k streaming ability. You won't be disappointed.

Much better than 1st generation. Noticably faster. A must have for any Android owner.

Needs a menu setting for ethernet rather then wondering if it connected wireless or wired. Works great both ways.

If you're looking for an accessory that can display and/or play your pictures, videos, music, and various apps (YouTube, photo apps, etc) this is about as easy and as cheap as it comes.

I replaced a 1st generation Chromecast with this one. I am much happier with this one. No longer does MLB.TV buffer during live games, or at least rarely does it happen.

Got a google home so I bought this to control my tv. I worked great

If you've ever wondered how do I bring what's on my phone to my tv here is your answer. With a simple and easy setup and the help of wifi you can easily steam from your phone straight to your tv.

i had the previous model and this one works about the same, maybe if you have a 4K television you can tell the difference but not on a 720p television.

works ok but sometimes freezes even when next to router. Quality of the picture is good. Have performed several reboots and still the same freezing when streaming from any device. Easy to set up.

The chromecast ultra is a solid device for casting; however, if you are an iOS user, I would recommend the apple tv as it pairs much more effectively.

Purchased to resolve issues around streaming a specific program, not yet available as a TV app. Installation was a breeze and Chomecast Ultra worked like a charm--immediately and as advertised.

The product works well and has very good video quality. I notice a difference between my regular cast I replaced and this 4k version. Only complaint is that it some times has to be reset in order to get a connection to a device.

We needed to get an older TV working in a remote location and this was the perfect solution. I would highly recommend one if you need a similar solution
